My Best Friend *a Sam Golbach fanfic* (COMPLETED)

Eleven

Natalie's POV
Sam and I had made up. We talked everything out and I forgave him.

"Hey, Natalie?" I heard Elton ask. We were all downstairs in the living room area.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Can you do me a favor and get me a drink?" He asked.

"You're closer to the kitchen." I was confused.

"Just get me a drink please." He said. I rolled my eyes and I got up  and walked into the kitchen and I opened the fridge and saw a cupcake in a container with a ring on top. I know it wasn't for Amanda. It had to have been my ring size. I just ignored it and grabbed the water and I walked back over and I gave Elton the drink. Sam was biting his lip.

"What?" I asked sitting beside him.

"Nothing. There's something for you in the fridge." He said. I looked at him confused. "Nothing, just a red velvet cupcake for when you're hungry." He said. I nodded and I went back to watching the movie they had on. He got me a ring? After a while I was starting to get hungry and I love red velvet.

"I'm hungry. I'm gonna grab something to eat, anybody want anything?" I asked getting up.

"I'll take some watermelon." Sam said. I nodded and walked into the kitchen. I opened the fridge and grabbed the bowl of watermelons and I grabbed the cupcake and walked back over and sat down and handed Sam the watermelon. I opened the cupcake container and I saw the ring and I looked at the ring and then looked at Sam.

"What's this?" I asked taking the ring out of the icing. Elton paused the movie and Sam got up and took the ring and he got on a knee and my eyes went wide.

"Hear me out before you freak out." He said. I nodded not trusting my voice. "Natalie, we have been friends for so long and I started liking you in high school and I never said anything. You mean the world to me and I wouldn't give you up for anything. No, I'm not proposing to you, but this is a promise ring. I promise to never hurt you, to never leave you, and to always be by your side. I know I have never said this to you since we've been dating but I love you, Natalie." He said and I was in tears. He slid the ring on my finger and I kissed him. He kissed back and pulled away. I didn't realize anyone was recording but everyone else was. Sam hugged me. "I'm sorry for the fight we had. I didn't mean to hurt you at all." He said.

"It's okay." I said and pecked his lips. He smiled. He sat down beside me. Devyn was to the right of me and I saw her watching over the video she took on her phone. I looked at it and I smiled.

"Do you mind if I post it on Instagram?" She asked.

"No, go ahead." I said. She smiled and posted it on Instagram. I took my phone out and went onto Instagram and clicked the little add button and went to the camera and turned it on us. I turned my head to face him and kissed him and he kissed back. I snapped the picture and pulled away and I posted it with the caption:

Nataliesantiago This guy means the world to me, I am so happy to have him in my life. I love you @samgolbach 💕

I tagged him and posted it. People were liking it and commenting on it. I smiled. Sam took his phone out and he took a picture of us and the ring was in the picture and he started typing and he posted it. I went to Instagram and looked at it and I saw his caption.

Samgolbach This girl is just amazing. I love her to death, she means everything to me. I know you guys liked Kat but I love @nataliesantiago she is just who I love and who I want. The ring is not an engagement ring, it's a promise ring. I love her to death. Please, please, be nice to her. I love you, Nat 💕

I liked the photo and commented.

Nataliesantiago I love you, too, baby. I want to be with you, I'm glad I have you 💕

I locked my phone and smiled to myself. Sam pulled me close to him and Elton had played the movie. I cuddled up to Sam and started eating the cupcake.

We were all in the pool and having fun. The guys were being idiots which is normal.

"Alright, who wants to chicken fight?" Amanda asked. The guys looked at each other confused.

"It's when you have one person on your shoulders and someone else is on another persons shoulders and they fight till one falls off." I said. They nodded. "I'm down." I said.

"Sweet." She said. Sam came over to me.

"I won't be able to hold you up. I hurt my arm with that video." He said. Colby came over.

"I'll hold her up." He said. I nodded. Amanda was already on Elton's shoulders and Colby went underwater and I got on his shoulders and he stood up. I was holding on so I didn't fall. He helped me get steady and he walked over to Elton and Amanda.

"Alright. 3,2,1, go!" Corey said. We started and I knocked Amanda in the water. I got off of Colby's shoulders. Amanda resurfaced and pushed her hair back.

"Damn, I'm usually pretty good with this game." She said. I giggled and went to Sam and wrapped my arms around his neck. He put his arms around my waist and pecked my lips.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you, too." He said. I smiled and kissed his cheek. We got out and I dried off. He dried off.

"I'm gonna go shower and change. I'm gonna go out soon." I said.

"Okay." He said pecking my lips. I smiled and walked inside and up to the bathroom. I stripped and started the shower and got in. When I finished my shower I got out and dried off and wrapped the towel around my body and I walked back to mine and Sam's room. I walked in and shut the door locking it. I got dressed in a pair of black ripped skinny jeans, Sam's hoodie and my converse. I left my hair how it was and grabbed my bag, phone and Sam's car keys. My car was shit so we just use his car. I walked downstairs and saw everyone was chilling on the couch.

"I'll be back." I said and walked out of the house and got in the car and started it and drove off.
