I rested my head on the window closing my eyes. They where burning from all the crying and they where becoming heavy. I don't know how long I kept my eyes shut but when I opened them I saw unfamiliar territory. The houses where bigger and fancier. It was the upper part of town. I always drove by here on my way to my old job but I had never actually been inside of one of the houses.

"Where are we going?" I finally was able to find my voice. I looked over at Luke who looked focused and like he could cry.

"Somewhere you can relax a little bit and be safe." Luke said calmly and softly shaking his head lightly before looking over at me.

"Oh, what about the meeting?" I asked rubbing my eyes gently.

"Eh, I can set it up again or just not get the contract either way it will be fine. You're what's important right now." Luke replied his voice was sweet and loving. It was different than usual. Normally his voice was cocky and husky.

His voice now was the way I imagined it in the mornings when making coffee or the way it was when he met his girlfriends parents for the first time.

"Luke you don't have to do that. I'll be fine. If you turn around now you can still make it." I replied.

"Hannah, its ok, besides I already called them and told them something come up and I couldn't make it." He looked at me giving me a look as I he was trying to reassure me and make me understand it was ok.

Not fighting it anymore I rested my head on the window and shut my eyes again letting Luke take me where ever it was we where going.

As we drove for a while longer I figured we where heading to the police station to report what happened. That was the proper thing to do. I just laid with my head on the window drifting off to sleep. All of what happened and all the crying I couldn't think straight.

I woke back up when the car came to a stop and Luke got out of the car. When I looked up we weren't at a police station. We were at a house. I trusted Luke but yet something felt weird about this. Luke came around and started opened my door.

"I thought you where still asleep." He spoke up when he first open the door.

"I was. Hey where are we?" I asked him slowly getting out of the car. My body was beginning to hurt from being slammed against the wall and my wrists where hurting from how tight he held them.

"Well um this is my house. I thought maybe you could use a place to just relax and find away to try to forget, and the thought of you going back anywhere near there makes me very uncomfortable." Luke muttered out rubbing the back of his neck.

"I have to go back eventually Luke, but thank you." I gave him a small smile before we walked into his house.

It was huge. The room you first came to when you walked inside was bigger than the apartment Jessi and I live in. The floors where shiny like they had just recently been waxed and there dare not be a speck of dust anywhere through the entire house.

I followed Luke is to what I assumed was the living room. It had a huge tv,a couch, a coffee table and a rocking chair. All of it was so fancy I couldn't believe only one person lived here.
