Epilogue- Promise the Stars
2 years later......
Devion's P.O.V

The beat of the music below shook the cabana slightly as people danced around it and the strobe lights flicked in every direction. I can't believe he said that. I thought to myself pushing a piece of blonde hair out of my eyes.

A sound on the other end of the roof caused me to spin my head around and meet his gaze. "Dev." he sighs crawling over to me and sitting down. "Luke." I say firmly pressing my lips together tightly.

"You scared me, running off like that." he says. "You shouldn't worry about me I'm just the maid of honour, it's Tara and Beau's day, remeber?"

"Yeah I know, I'm kinda the best man." he chuckles. There is then an awkward silence that fills the air, him obviously noticing my anger towards our argument earlier.

"So what are you doing up here?" he asks daring to scootch a bit closer. "I'm just talking to mum." I say motioning to the stars. He nods and carefully directs his a glance to me. "You can stop trying to be sneaky I see you out of the corner of my eye." I say chewing on the inside of my cheek, trying to hold back a laugh.

"You know I really am sorry. I say stupid things all the time, I'm a guy isn't that 'just what we do'?" he teases quoting me. I let out a bit of a laugh and look at him. "Yeah you're right. I guess I forgive you, I was just overreacting. But I'm a girl, we're supposed to do that." I tease back. He grins placing his hand on my thigh.

"So Devion I have something to ask you." he says. I nod as he moves his hand to his pocket. What is he doing? "I know this isn't the traditional thing to do, but we're not the 'traditional' couple." he grins now placing his right hand on mine and keeping his left hand in his suit pocket.

He slowly pulls out his left hand revealing a tiny blue box. I gulp as he takes his right hand off of mine and moves it to my left hand. He pops the box in his left hand open with his left thumb and turns it to face me. "Devion Sahyounie will you become my Devion Brooks?" he asks grinning and shaking at the same time. I laugh due to me feeling him shake and a look of worry dances across his face. "Oh no Luke, of course I will."

He smiles sliding the ring onto my finger. "Then why were you laughing?"

"It's really nothing." I say sucking my lower lip in. "No tell me, it may have ruined the moment." he teases. "Fine but you can't pin this one on me. You were shaking like a chihuahua, I mean c'mon obviously I would say yes. I haven't found anyone better yet and never will." I smile. He grins and kisses my cheek. "Your absoulutely marvelous you know that?"

"Mmh." I him in response bringing my lips to his and letting them gently and shortly connect.

"Shhh." Whispers a drunken slur. We both spin around to see Daniel and Lottie -yes she returned after all and Daniel realised how stupid he was being- attempting to climb onto the roof. "Oh serry didn't mean to interrupt anyting." Lottie giggles and drops down, Daniel following her. I roll my eyes and Luke grins laughing a bit. "What's so funny?" I ask.

"I remeber not to long ago, about three years maybe, someone's brother didn't approve of their boyfriend." he says swinging his legs off the roof.

"What about it?"

"Well it seems to me a little Sahyounie doesn't seem to like Ms.Lotie." he says poking my nose. I scrunch it in response before shrugging." It's not that I don't like her, It's just I'm not to fond of her either." he sighs and laces our fingers together.

"Same old Devion, now your twenty and you haven't changed a bit."

"Well your twenty-one and haven't changed a bit either."

"Let's keep it that way." he grins. I smile and we just stay watching the stars holding hands for a bit. "Can we do something crazy?" I ask.

Luke nods and skims my blue eyes with his brown ones for any sign of what. "Lets jump." I smile grabbing his hand tighter. "Dev-"

"Luke don't think, don't speak, just do." I grin, he nods and we both lean forward our hands still tightly connected. "I'll count, okay?"

Luke nods in response and I begin my count down. "One, two, three." and with that we both land safely on the ground. "There you two are!" shouts a familiar voice. We spin around to see Mary and Jai. "They've been looking all over for you." Mary continues.

"Keep the engagement a secret until after the honeymoon." we both whisper at the same time causing us to smile. "Uh yeah sorry be right there." I say. Luke grins and kisses me running off with Mary and Jai.

I look back at the stars and see one of them twinkle. "You were right mum, Tara and I would find our happily ever afters." I pause and look over at the two drunken iditos sitting in the cabana. "And I think Daniel did too."

The star does something resembling a wink causing me to grin even wider if possible before I went off to see my one.

A/N I'm sorry for taking so long to publish this but I wanted to find the perfect ending for this story. Because this is a big deal to me, this is my first successful story and I'm so proud to be the writer of it. I needed my characters to really have that last moment be the perfect moment for them.

I want to thank you all for your support and encouragement with this story. I have come so far and it's thanks to all of you. At the beginning of this story I was a shit writer and I would like to think as the story progressed I have gotten better. Thank you all for staying here and waiting through my drama just to read this story.

I honestly can't believe I ever thought about stoping this story. I love you all so much and I can't thank you enough for what you all have done for me.
