Chapter 12

The ball came flying towrds me and I jumped for it trying to stop it from hitting the net. Which I failed at., something I normally never do. But the events from this morning still were clouding my mind. The coach blew his whistle signalng the end of practice, I sighed getting up and going to my bag as I slung it over my shoulder. I grabbed my phone and started walking towards the parking lot, before the coach stopped me.

"Hey Sahyounie are you alright, you seemed distracted during practice?" he asked. Which he had every right to. I mean if your best player missed a simple shot like that, then you would be worried to. "Just something personal that happened this morning." I smiled.

"Dont worry about it. Whatever it is you'll work through it you always do." he was right, but right now I think that is impossible. "Thanks coach, I'll see you on Tuesday." I waved walking to the parking lot checking my phone to see who was picking me up. I knew it probably would be Daniel cause Luke normally did but now, obviously he wouldn't. I was shocked to see the Brooks Brothers' car though as I approached the spot they were noramally in. I slowly walked over and opened the door. Relieved to find it was Jai.

"Hey Devs, happy to see me." he smirked. No not again every time I had been though a tough break up or bad day Jai always did something crazy just to cheer me up. " I was, but now I'm a little worried Slothey." I joked. He shot me a glare because we both agreed not to use those retarded nicknames we came up with.

"For your information Pickachu I was not planning on anything crazy." he stated chewing on the inside of his cheek as he drove down the road. I shot him a look as I realized the soon familiar surrondings of the back road to James' house. "Jai where are we going, I just wanna go home." I whined. "To Bad." he smirked. I glared at him and started to pout again. We eventually arrived at the Yammouni's and Jai went to their garage and I lied in the grass by the tree in the backyard. I looked up and saw the carving Beau made when we he was 8 which made me smile. Before sitting up and climbing the tree sitting on my favorite branch with my arrms crossed and a devilish smirk on my lips. Jai eventually came back swingin keys on his finger and glaring at me.

"Devion get down please."

"Nope." I smirked. This reminded me of a similar discussion we had a few years ago.

*Flashback*.

"Devion get down from there." commanded Beau.

"Nah I like it up here." I smiled and started to hang from the branch like a sloth.

"Please Devion! I mean its Tara's an your's birthday party and all your gonna do is hang like a sloth." sighed a 13 year old Daniel.

"nopppppeee." I teased starting to swing my self.

"That's it I'm going to get Luke." groanes James running to the garage to get the twins. A few minutes later the boys all circled under me and told me I better jump or Beau was coming up. So just as 14 year old Beau was climbing the tree. I jumped and landed in one of the 12 year old twins arms. I looked up and noticed is was Luke causing me to smirk. The boys were in a competion, you could call it. The one person who got there first kiss first was the winner. Luke leaned in to kiss me but I jumped from his arms before he had the chance. "None of you are going to get your first kiss from me understood." I glared at the lot of them. Daniel nodded in agreement, because he obvioulsy didn't want the boys kissing me.

Beau who was now sitting on the branch smirking his usualy flirtatious smirk well Luke pouted and crossed his arms and James looked down. He had tried to kiss me yesterday at school. Beau hadnt yet but I doubted he would because he was 14 and I was 11. I turned to a quiet Jai who showed no emotion. He was the only who hadn't tried to kiss me. Which gave me an idea. I grabbed his hand and ran to the garage. The boys all following a few minutes later. I got close to him and went on my tip toes a bit and pecked his lips. Which caused him to blush and the boys to gasp in awe. Beau ran inside to get my mom shouting the whole way "Devion kissed Jai!" I quickly jumped on Jai's back and we ran into the woods and to the cleraing only we knew about. That's were we would just go and talk sometimes. When we were younger we always use to see 'fairies' here. It was just our special place.

*End of flashback*

"You're thinking about it too aren't you." he smirked as I jumped down. I nodded and ran up to him. "Do you think it's still as magical as we remember?" I asked with a curious look in my eye. "Let's find out." he responded grabbing my hand and pulling me to the woods with him shoving the keys in his pocket. Once we got there it was just all fun and games I lied in the grass well he just sat there and we talked and reminisced about old things until he said something that made me have to think.

Jai's P.O.V

Devion was laughing so hard she was almost crying and playing with a daisy she picked as she lie in the grass. That's when I had to go and ask that stupid question. "Why did you aw pick me as your first kiss?" After a few moments she propped herself up on her elbows and looked at me. "Jai it's because you were the only one who hadn't pressured me into kissing you and because I knew you cared about me. You were one of my first best friends." she admitted shyly. "What about Beau?" I asked. "He was just my little playground boyfriend we didn't really become close until I started high school. Tara, she was close but she was also family and so was Daniel. You were the first person I let my walls down for besides family." she stated pulling herself off the ground.

"Now, c'mon Slothey its getting dark we should probably get back." I nodded and agreed pulling myself up and pulling her onto my back before walking back to the garage and putting her down. "Now are you ready for the craziness?" I asked raising an eyebrow at her and getting into the truck that was designed for back roading. She smiled and climbed in the passenger seat. "More than ever." she stated smirking.

A/N Right now I am not really concerned with the length of the chapter. Just of the content and I really want to focus on her relationship with each of the boys like I said last chapter. I love all the support so keep it up. Although I didn't get as many comments I have decided I will update every Friday or Saturday ( you lucky buggers) thanks so much for 1k reads it means a lot to me and I couldn't have done it without any of you.
