A/N Okay so it's been asked if I could please elaborate more about Chloe.
Well basically Devion and Skip's mom and dad were married until 1996, aka the year Devion and Tara were born. That year Kristy found out that their dad had been cheating on her with Chloe, she found out because Tara was born and she saw Chloe and John (their dad) out buying baby clothes, but once the baby was born John told Kristy. This caused a fight and obviously ended in divorce. They still had to cooperate and work on schedules for Skip and Dev to see John.
John and Chloe than got married in 2000, when Skip was 7 and Tara and Devion were 5.
John and Kristy eventually mad up and became friends again around 1998 and 1999. So by the time the car crash happened in 2002 Tara and Devion were best friends as well as Chloe and Kristy. So of course Kristy was willing to take Tara in.
That's when Tara got adopted. Tara's last name is Hems because do to the adoption she had to take Kristy's madden name.
