The best way to predict your future is to create it -Abraham Lincoln.

My only problem is that I honestly don't think I have a future. All of my relatives shunned my parents for giving birth to me before they got married. I have no one to turned to, and more importantly no one wants me. Before I could think anymore someone knocked on my door. I walked over and opened it.

"My Grandma didn't mind the cold soup." He explained. I laughed. He smiled. I smiled back.

"Why did you come back?" I asked.

"Because you seem more fun than my Grandma." He explained.

"But I'm just a girl with no parents."

I told him my life story in a sentence.

"Everyone has a story, even if no one is around to hear it."

He smiled. He sat on my bed. He smiled again. A doctor walked in.

"Racheal I thought you had no family." He looked at the boy next to me.

"It's ok Doc he's a friend." I smiled at the boy.

"I'm just here to check up on you and see how your doing."

The doctor looked concerned.

"I'm just fine, thanks."

I smiled to show him that I was truly okay. The doctor walked out of my room. I thought finally I'm alone with this boy.

"By the way what's your name?" I asked.

"My name is Jack, what's yours?" He asked.

"My name is Racheal." I told him.

Silence.

"Racheal why are you here?" He asked.

"I'm here because 7 years ago, I got into a car crash, that killed my parents, and put me into a coma."

He looked blankly at me. I felt like I scared him.

"I'm sorry...."

He said as he stood up and ran straight out the door. I tried to run after him but my legs haven't stood up in 7 years. As I walked out of the room I collapsed in front of my doctor. He helped me up, my legs felt like ice, but the thing that hurt the most is that Jack didn't look back to see if I was okay.

"Racheal you shouldn't be walking around, try to get some rest." He brought me to bed.

"Doc, my legs are so cold." He looked like a hopeless puppy stranded in the streets.

"I'm sorry Racheal but you have a condition called 'Oblivion'." Now I looked like a hopeless puppy.
