Bryce's P.o.v

I was walking down the road to my favorite cafe when I was stopped in the middle of the street. A man that mysteriously was very pale and had a cape on approached me with fear in his eyes. He seemed to be running from someone or something.

"Excuse me sir, could you help me?" The man had a accent like the vampire Dracula which was very strange but it fitted his pale skin and dark red and black cape.

"Oh! Of course how can I help you." I ask the man, stepping to the side of the busy sidewalk of the town. The man looks around very quickly but then whispers in my ear.

"I am being watched and chased could you pretend to be my friend?" The mans eyes were a chocolaty brown that pleaded me to help him. I nod my head and take his arm leading him to the cafe. I sat him down at a table and got us some coffee.

"Thank you so much man." The man continues to thank me for helping him out. I only smile and nod sipping on my coffee.

"So may I ask your name?" I politely ask setting my coffee down and examining the man before me. His features were different from everyone else which make him more mysterious and interesting. His pale looks, red lips and chocolate brown eyes all suited him with of course the black hair and red and black cape.

"You can call be Dracula. It's nice to me you." He holds of his hand and I grab it shaking it giving him a friendly smile. Dracula what a weird name.

"I'm Bryce. Bryce McQuaid." He smiles a bit and takes a sip of the black coffee soon making a weird and funny face. I giggle a bit at his reaction of the bitterness of the black coffee.

"This coffee is not good." He pushes it away from him but I stop him and hand him some creamer and a packet of sugar. He unsurely takes them from me and adds them to the coffee. I nod my head for him to taste it and once he did he look back up to me and laughed.

"Wow! I would say you were a genius." Dracula happily sips on his new found coffee and I can't help but to smile. Oddly this man made my heart flutter and my mind go crazy. Dracula and I talked for hours about random games coming out and just silly fun stories. He told me about his past and I told him about mine. I didn't want him to pity me for Ryan's death but he didn't, he told me he understood and that it was okay. Which made me feel better about the situation. Soon it was 9pm and the cafe was closing so they had to kick us out or else which isn't so 'threatening'.

"Hey, you would mind grabbing coffee with me next week? Say Tuesday this time?" I ask the man in front of me hoping he would say yes. The moonlight hit perfectly on his pale skin and it make it seem so much more sparkly?

"I would love to! It's a date brycie." I giggle and blush from the nickname he gave me. My mind wonders back to the person who used to call me that but I have to move on he would want me to be happy.

"I'll see you Tuesday!" I happily turn to leave but before I could Dracula grabbed my hand and gave me a warm and welcoming hug before I could leave. I smile and make my way home my heart and mind a mess. I unlock the front door and hear buddy barking excited that I was home. I looked around for my two kittens to find them sleeping next to each other in their cat bed.

"I found someone that made my mind go crazy and heart throb today Ryan. I miss you everyday but I know you would want me to move on." I sadly smile at the picture of my first lover. He was my world till he was diagnosed with Cancer. He was a very strong and healthy man but he became weak and didn't survive it. I made a promise to him that I would move on after his death and I think I found the right person for that.
