It was a late Friday night and Adam was struggling to find anything to do. All his friends had been busy with their partners or out of town. With a heavy sigh he grabbed his jacket slamming the door to the empty house. The weather was starting to get cold as Halloween was approaching and fall was starting. That also meant he was another month closer to getting out of this hell hole. As a senior in high school it was hard for him to pay attention as his mind was always filled of the future and better things. One thing that crossed Adams mind was his soulmate. Adam dreamed many times of this 'mysteries' soulmate and still found it sickening that this soulmate was a unsolved mystery. Adam knew one thing about his soulmate and that was they were non-existence. Yes, Adam may have a small weird tattoo on his arm but that didn't mean shit. Even both the Anthony's had found their soulmates and one of his best friends Minx! It was tragic that Adam still couldn't find this soulmate so he used his writings and photography to express and relive his hatred and pain. His friends often would try to help find a match for Adam but nobody had the small cute black and white cat tattoo to match. Sighing heavily Adam walked back to his house. His mother was usually home by now to cook dinner and help her child as needed. As Adam approached his lovely home he saw a moving truck to the house next to him. He frowned but quickly hid it as a boy his age walked over.

"Hi, I'm Max!" Max stuck out his hand to shake the shorter boys hand. Adam hesitantly shook the latters hand just having meant the guy. Adam examined Max's full grown beard, something he couldn't do very well.

"Adam. I live next door." Adam grumbled his usual cheery mood still had yet to return.

"Well it's nice to meet you Adam." Max said, eyeing the boy carefully.

"You too, sorry for my attitude. You caught me at a bad time." Adam genuinely smiled at Max which seemed to make the latter more comfortable.

"No worries, we all have our ups and downs right!" Max's deep voice is what Adam had caught his attention most. It was very soothing and he found it calming.

"Well, I have to go. See you around school. I'll introduce you to my friends." After Adam had said that he left the other male to unpack before hell started the next day.

It was too early in the morning for Adam's liking but he delt with it for the sake of it. He learned real quick that slaking would hurt you just as much. Adam groaned as he stole a glance out his window. It was heavily downpouring and he had to walk in it. Adam quickly grabbed a grey hoodie his coffee and backpack. He should really invest in a umbrella he thought as he started to walk in the rain his hood up and sipping on his coffee.

"ADAM!" Startled Adam looked towards the road and saw a red car pull up next to him. Max rolled down the window quickly yelling for him to get in. Adam smiled at the gesture and hopped in the car the cold weather was making him feel ill.

"Thanks Max." Adam said getting in the car the windows rolled up. He sipped his coffee again and smirk at Max.

"No problem, I don't want my new friend to get ill do I?" New friend? Adam smiled at the thought while looking around the car.

"New friend? Well new friend, lets go meet our other new friends." Adam said chuckling as he watched Max smile and drive down to the school.

Once the boys reached the high school of riverside township they quickly ran into the school giggling. The boys had bonded quickly over stupid thoughts and past memories.

"And these are all my gay friends." Adam shouted loudly pulling his best friend Minx to his side. "Minx meet Max he's new!" Minx grinned evilly as she shook his hand.

"Welcome to the crew." Max smiled and introduced himself to everyone while Adam stood off to the side smiling like fool. Minx grinned then pushed Adam forward towards Max. He started to fall because of poor balance but two strong arms stopped Adam from falling face first.

"You gotta be careful there Adam you almost fell." Max chuckled his smile was hidden with a concerned look in his eyes. Adam nervously stood up brushing his clothes off. His cheeks tinted red.

"Ha yeah, sorry about that." Adam said rubbing the back of his neck. That's when he noticed Max's tattoo. A black and white cat. He gulped looking up from the tattoo to the man that stood before him. Max seemed to be more concerned than worried about showing his tattoo around. Adam quickly tried to dismiss Max's frown and distract himself. Although he didn't know that Max had already saw Adam's tattoo. It was only a matter of time before he confronted Adam.

As the day went on and on Adam and Max had a hidden bond and beautiful friendship coming along. Although they did get in trouble very often from the teachers.

"So Adam, wanna see something amazing?" Max had asked the shorter male a smile placed on his face. Adam's eyes wrinkled as he smiled and he agreed. Max leaded the way to a cute little place he found that would be perfect to tell Adam.

"WE ARE HERE!" Max shouted his nerves calming once he saw the happy smile from Adam.

"A cat cafe." Adam whispered his heart beating fast and a small smile on his face. Max lead him in the room while he talk to the lady. He ordered two coffees while they played with the cats.

"Adam how do you like your coffee?" Max had asked. Adam giggled looking over at the other male.

"Mexican." Max nearly dropped the adorable kitten was holding when Adam slyly winked and smiled.

"Now that was cheesy but I expect nothing less from my soulmate." Adam giggled then kissed Max's cheek causing his face to turn red. They placed the tattoos together as they shined in beauty that their soulmates were reunited.
