Two months had passed and looking back I can say that we made progress. After Stephine recovered completely then only did I allow her to do the household chores. She wanted to be a professional fashion designer and I told her that one of my friends has his own chain of clothes and his wife is the 50% partner in it. I decided to call them for dinner today and my lovely wife was super excited.

I decided to call my bestfriend," Hey Matt."

"Hello. Whom am I speaking to?"

"Drop the formalities you asshole. No need to pretend you don't know me."

"Oh, Luke. Hi buddy, I missed you. What's up? Long time no see. Everything okay? Oh I know you must have angered your wife so you need tips from me on how to make it up to her. So listen-"

"Would you let me speak? No, I didn't do anything. I just wanted to invite you and Sophia for dinner tonight. Also I need a small favour from you both so I'll tell at night. And long time no see because you were busy in design making and I was busy somewhere else."

"Woah, cool down boy. What a coincidence man, Sophia asked me to invite you and Stephine for dinner tommorow. I'll tell her to get ready. See you at night bro got customers to attend to."

That stupid personality, always starts blabbering. But sometimes he is right too.Which reminds me I have to tell Stephine to prepare the food or order it and also I have to contact my trusted doctor, Damon, regarding Stephine as she often falls sick and I don't think that's normal. Also about her nightmares that she gets whenever I'm not beside her.

* Stephine's POV *

Luke has been the best life partner I could ever find. He has supported me a lot and unintentionally gained my trust and my love with it. Just thinking about him brings a smile to my face. I'm deeply in love with him. Today is Thursday and on Sunday it's Luke's birthday, I'm planning to say the three words he is dying to hear then. And later on someday during the week I'll tell him my past as well.

I was brought out from my thoughts when I heard my phone ring," Hi, How are you? Everything fine? "

"Slow down baby, I'm fine and everything else is also fine. First you tell me, did you take your vitamins? And what are you doing at the moment? "

"Uhh, me? umm, I'm just cooking food for tonight. You said you invited your bestfriend and his wife so just preparing for that and will clean the house after it."

" Right. Make sure to not tire yourself out too much please. What about your vitamins? you took them right? And had your lunch as well? If you dare lie I swear I'll come home this instant." Shit, he sounds angry. He knows I didn't eat lunch or take the vitamins.

"Uhh, Luke I'll call you back in a while. I have to cook the food perfectly and .. uhh.. if I keep talking to you it will .. umm ... get burnt?" I tried to get out from this somehow.

"Right, food? Okay you cook food, and I'm coming back home right now. I'll see you in a while." He is really angry.

" Wait, what? No!! Hello? Luke?" He disconnected the call. Now what will I do?

I was really angry at Stephine for neglecting her health and skipping her meals. The problem is that I can't stay angry at her for long, she always lifts my mood up somehow and today would be no different. I called my secretary and told her to cancel all my meetings for the rest of the day as I had "family emergency". Picking up my car keys I headed down for the basement.
