*Stephine's POV*

I woke up to a sudden voice. Looking around the room I realised it was raining outside. I just hope that the thunder isn't too loud or scary this time, I'm already scared of it. Calming myself down and trying not to wake up luke by my movements I laid back down and closed my eyes.

Suddenly I heard a really loud roar of thunder to which I screamed out and Luke woke up instantly. " Baby what's wrong? Why did you scream?"

"T...thunder Luke. I'm scared of it and darkness as well." I started to sob lightly. I don't know why I cry too much. Maybe because I'm a very sensitive person but that's not for me to decide.

"Hey. Hey look at me. It's okay. Come here. Stop crying baby." He soothed me and rubbed his hands gently on my back.

"Lukey. Can you pass me the glass of water please?"

"Sure hon. Here take this," he held the glass near my mouth and helped me drink it and I started to gulp it fast. "Hey slow down. Don't drink too fast you'll choke."

I crawled upto him closing the gap between us and sat on his lap hugging him and snuggling my face into his chest.

*Luke's POV*

She came upto me and snuggled into me. I knew she was scared. She's very sensitive and I need to protect her and try that nothing hurts her feelings in any way. It's already 11:30 at night. I started caressing her soft and silky hair to calm her down further. Glancing outside I saw it was raining heavily and it won't be stopping any time soon.

Seeing that she slept in my arms only then I laid back down slowly attempting not to wake her up. She flinched a bit when she heard the thunder but instantly calmed down sensing my warmth around her.

I also closed my eyes and didn't notice when I slipped back to sleep. I felt movement beside me and heard a door closing and the sound of water was heard. I let it not affect me as I thought that I knew she was in the washroom...

Suddenly I heard the happy scream,"HAPPY 28TH LUKEYYY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST HUSBAND AND THE BEST FRIEND I COULD ASK FOR" I felt her shaking me from my slumber. "Wake up Lukey."

I decided to tease her a bit,"Give me my birthday kiss then I'll open my eyes" I said with a small smirk.

She hit my chest lightly,"You prevert. Get your ass up."

"Okay okay I'm up." As soon as I opened my eyes and sat up she kissed me on the lips passionately and I responded.

"Okay cut the cake now."

I chuckled at her behaviour and did as she said till she got tired and we went back to sleep at 1am. After a while the lights went out and it was pitch black. She screamed and starting crying really hard.

"Babe calm down.The light just went out it will be back soon I promise. Focus on my voice sweetheart it will pass I promise." Saying this I took her in my arms and rocked her slowly and with one hand I searched for my phone finding it I opened the torch and took her to the balcony where there was enough light of the moon to calm her down.

"D..don't leave me please. S..stay with me." She was shaking really bad.

"Sshhh calm down baby girl I'm not going anywhere I'm right here with you. Lie down on the sofa love and sleep I'll watch over you. Sssshhh now. My brave princess"

She did as I said and within minutes she was in a deep sleep, but keeping a firm hold on my hand. When the lights came back I picked up my Angel gently and walked in the room and placed her on my chest and drifted off to sleep.
