First Day As A Married Couple

*Stephine's POV*

When I woke up in the morning I noticed that something cool was on my forehead after feeling it I recognised it as a damp cloth and that Luke was asleep on the chair in a uncomfortable position so I put the blanket over him and went to the washroom to get freshed as i was feeling better than last night.

I decided to make breakfast for the both of us. It was the least I could do to repay his help. I let Luke sleep a bit longer and started to beat the eggs to make omelettes and along with that chocolate chip pancakes and coffee. While I was making breakfast I heard his footsteps coming closer.

" Hi, Good Morning." I greeted him

" Morning beautiful. What are you doing? You should be in bed resting not exhausting your body out. " He started to lecture me sternly and I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him.

" Calm down, I'm fine thanks to you I'm feeling a lot better. "

" But still you need rest. " He came forward and felt my forehead for a temperature. " Hmm, looks like your fever went down a bit, but make sure to eat your medicine after the breakfast."

I gave him a disgusted look but didn't say anything or else he'll make sure I ate them which I won't. When we started to eat I cleared my throat and asked him, " Umm, I wanted to ask you something if you won't get angry at me." With that I lowered my head.

" Sweety look at me. What's the matter? Is everything okay? "

" Uhh, I..... I just wanted ask if I could continue to pursue my career? "

" What did you aim for baby?" He asked in a soft voice

" Umm....a fashion designer."

" I think that's a wonderful idea but first you get free from the flu then we'll talk in more detail about it. I promise." he replied beaming with happiness.

I got up to put my plate in the sink and i suddenly started to feel dizzy.

*Luke's POV*

I noticed that Stephine started swaying a bit, I figured out she was feeling dizzy so I held her before she hit the floor. I touched her forehead and it was burning more than last night. I immediately called the doctor and wrapped her in blankets in our bed. I was actually worried for her health.

When the doctor came he asked me to make sure that she took complete bed rest got the next 3 days and gave her an injection and hooked her on the IV for 3 hours and said that he would visit again after 3 hours.

After the doctor left Stephine stared to wake up and the first thing she saw was the needle stuck in her vein. She started sobbing so I rushed towards her and tried to comfort her.

"Sweety!! What's wrong? Why are you crying? Are you in pain??" I asked her with a worried voice.

"P...please remove this from my hand. I .... I hate needles, I have needle phobia. My head is hurting a lot." she said while crying harder.

"Sshhh baby, calm down I've got you. Don't look at your hand and forget that there is anything there. I'm sorry but you fainted and the doctor said this was important to do. Hush now kitten .... stop crying, it will make your fever worse." I held her carefully in my arms and tried to calm her down

"B...but Luke it hurts please make it gone."

"It's okay love. Just bear with it for an hour more then the doctor would come and remove it I promise."

"Pinky promise" she said holding her pinky finger up

I locked my pinky finger with her and said, "Pinky promise. Now try to relax please."

After a few minutes her breathing evened telling me that she slept again. I softly kissed her forehead and tucked her in. While she slept I cooked food for her.

* After 2 hours *

The doctor came by again and by that time Stephine was also awake. She had calmed down for good. When the doctor told her what he told me about her bed rest she looked as if she would throw a tantrum when we were left alone. Thinking about it only made me chuckle lightly.

*Stephine's POV*

I was really angry at Luke that he agreed with the doctor for me being in the stupid bed rest for the next three days.

"WHAT MADE YOU AGREE TO THE STUPID BED REST LUKE???? "

"Babe... calm down. It's for your own good. Please try to-"

"Try to understand what?? That I can't look after myself and you even in this state?"

"Honey!! That's not what I meant and you know that. Yes you can take care of both of us even being sick but I don't want you to compromise on your health. You already fainted once. Does this happen often love?"

"What happens often?" I asked him curiously

"You getting sick."

"Yes", I answered. I put my head down, not able to meet his eyes.

He sighed and sat beside me and softly held my chin and made me look at him. "Do your Aunt and Uncle know about this?",he asked me

I just shook my head in a no. He didn't say anything but made me lie down and tucked me up completely. He softly placed a kiss on my forehead and asked me to go back to sleep. When I asked where he was going he just answered that he would be in the next room which is his office doing some work. I nodded and let sleep take over, but not before hearing the words, " You sure do know how to make me worry shitless love. But I won't lecture you unless you need it because I love you a lot and nobody can change that fact." I smiled slightly and slipped into a deep slumber.

*Luke's POV*

When I was confirmed she slept I went and completed making dinner for us. It was a hard job to wake her up and make her eat her food and take the medicines as well. She tried to avoid them but I wasn't falling for her tricks so I made her take them infront of me. Later I held her until she slept and also drifted off to sleep with my beautiful wife in my arms. This was the second best sleep I had in my life and for a fact I knew that this won't be the last. I remembered our talk from the morning about her continuing her dreams. I allowed her as I knew this maybe the first step to gain her trust. When she told me she often fell sick and her Aunt and Uncle didn't know about it made me worried and I decided to consult the most trusted doctor of mine about this matter once she regains her health back. Thinking about this I slept peacefully.
