Chapter 8

We walked over the tree and held hands as we walked. I was walking Princess now instead of holding her.
"How are you going to handle this?" He asked as we walked.
"I don't know. I'll most likely go to my room and watch TV instead." I say.
"Is that smart? I know I said to do what you wanted but maybe you should at least talk to them." He suggested.
"I don't even know what I would say. By the way, are we going to tell people about-" I lift up our hands to show him. "This?"
"I don't plan on letting go, so they might figure it out. Well, the smart people might. I don't know about everyone. Nice subject change by the way." He said laughing a little.
"True. And I don't really want to talk about it. If they talk to me, I'll talk to them. Deal?"
"Deal." He said. We stopped outside his house where no one could see us and I looked at him.
"Do you think we should tell Harley then let everyone else figure it out?" I suggest.
"It's up to you." He answered.
"She's still my best freind. I owe her this much after what I said earlier. Text her." I say.
"First..." He said. He leaned down a put his lips on mine gently. I kiss him back until I feel Princess's nose on my leg. I pull back to look at her and giggle. He leaned his head on mine and smiled.
"Well, at least she waited until now to ruin the moment." He said.
"Yeah." I say. "Text Harley please."
He pulls back and texts Harley.
"Your sure about this?" I ask.
"Yes. It's better we tell her then her figure it out by herself." He pecked my lips and pulled back before I could kiss back. We hear footsteps and I turn around to see Harley walking over to us. She comes straight over to me and hugs me. I release Ethan's hand and hug her back. I let go and say, "I am so sorry for earlier! I was just confused. Forgive me?"
"Of course! I'm sorry I didn't tell you. But he told us not to." She said.
"I know, and trust me he will be paying for it." I say.
"I'm right here!" He said.
"We know." I turn turn so I saw both of them.
"So, are you guys freinds again?" She asked.
"Um... actually, we're dating now." Ethan said. He smiled and held my hand. I nod.
"Finally!" She exclaimed. I giggle and Ethan chuckles.
"Let's go inside before we get sick from the rain." Ethan suggested. We go in and I pick up Princess again before we go in.
"Hope, I'm so glad your safe." My mom says coming over to me and hugging me. I couldn't hug her back because of Princess. "Don't do that again. Next time just go to your room or something." She adds amiling and releasing me from the hug.
"Ok." I reply.
"Same goes for you Ethan. If you need some time at least tell us your leaving." His mom said and I looked at him confused.
"Ok, Mom." He said ignoring my look. "But, I have good news." He entwined our fingers since I had a free hand while holding Princess. "We're dating now."
"Finally!" Rachel exclaimed. Everyone agreed with her.
"You were all thinking we would date?" I ask.
"Duh. I noticed the way you looked at him. Even before he told you." Rachel said.
"I think it's time we go, Hope." Mom said. I nod and she tells me to go outside and wait for her. I do as told and Ethan follows me.
"Wasn't so bad was it?" He asked when we were out.
"No, but it was just my mom. I wasn't mad at her." I say setting Princess down.
"I know this must be hard, but I'm here for you ok?" I wrapped my arms around him and burry my face in his chest.
"Thank you." I whisper. He hugs me back and kisses the top of my head.
"Anytime. I love you." He replied.
"Love you too." I say. Then mom walks put and we break apart.
"Bye, Ethan. Thank you for taking such good care of her." Mom said when she came out.
"Always." He said smiling. When she turned around he pecked my lips. "Always." He whispered. I smile and we leave.
