Dawn pov
I cleared my throat, once more but this time to get his attention. As soon as i did, he seemed to wake up from his dazed looking state. He winked at me and seemed to remember what I said as he replied “Oh this book?” That’s when I started to get annoyed and went to grab the book but that’s when his whole demeanor changed and his back went rigid, eyes lost any humor, and his voice took on a serious tone when he opened his mouth to say “This book is too dangerous for someone like you and you could get hurt, you don’t know what you’re dealing with.” Ok this guy is really starting to make me mad, what did he know about me, and my life. “Listen I don’t know who you are and I guess your hotness is the only appealing thing about you but hey things can only go so far, but you don’t have the right to take control of my life and tell me what I can or cannot read or what’s best for me. So I’ll just take that and be on my way thank you very much.” I said as I took the book and walked off leaving him standing there, looking shocked. He seemed to regain his composure as he ran after me with a scowl on his face saying “Wait! First, you think I’m hot?”, and before I could make a sarcastic remark, he said “and secondly thank you right back at you!” I didn’t even know what happened one second I had the book securely in my hands and the next he had it, while running away from me. As the idiot I am, I ran after him and for a small, scrawny looking 14 year old I am pretty fast. I caught up to him with ease and took the book saying “what is your problem, it’s just a book, so back off you freak!” At that he seemed to freeze and it felt like the temperature dropped several degrees as if an acknowledgement to the cold stare he was giving me. I shuddered and didn't know what to do as he opened his mouth to say something.
