Dawn pov
He slowly and intimidatingly said “Fine but don’t come looking for me when something bad happens to you because I warned you but you didn’t want to listen.” Then just as I thought he would walk away he pulled me into his arms and gave me one sweet, passionate, lingering kiss that felt like a goodbye. Then just as I opened my eyes he was gone and I could still feel his lips on mine and I couldn’t shake the feeling like I was making the worst mistake of my life, seeing him getting ripped from my life, just like that. I went to the librarian slightly confused on how she didn’t notice any of that and slightly dazed on what did happen. I gave her the book to check out, when the strangest thing happened her eyes seemed to glaze over and her tone of voice sounded more like a robots then her usual happy tone as she told me “You know what just keep the book, on the house, no charge.” I blinked a couple times trying to figure out if she was joking or not. That’s when I took off after saying a mumbled “thank you,” before she could change her mind. Terrible I know but hey can't take everything for granted or in this case lose the option of something for free!
