"I did it for you. You will never understand the reason behind it but I'm doing this to protect you." Arthur argued.
"What about others? Do they have anyone to protect them? NO! That's why we are here! We're here to protect them, to keep them safe." I retort.
He sighed out loud, "You should know that your parents never wanted you in this business. And I too regret ever bringing you into such a world."
"Well, I'm grateful that you did. Sometimes, you're being selfish." I spat.
"Selfish got you alive, hasn't it? Your parents were too selfless and look where it got them?" He glared at me.
"That was an ambushed attack. Nothing could have stopped it." I threw myself down onto the couch.
"No, if they had never allowed so many people to work around, that would have never happened." He shook his head and wiped his sweat with a handkerchief.
"Regardless, what is done, is done. They're gone and I know it. That's why I want to learn to fight. Because I will never have a chance to get to know them well but at least, at the very least I will know what they love." I ran a hand through my hair.
"But is it what you love? Or are you just doing this for revenge?" He questioned with his back facing me...
"I know that you are agents. You can drop the act." Edward spat.
Grace spluttered, "What?"
Will snickered, "For an agent, you sure have amazing comebacks. Yes, we are agents."
"Were you ever my friends?" Edward asked.
"Honestly, no. It's the job." Will answered. Grace kept quiet.
"I will not consider my clients as friends but I do know that we agents still have feelings." I answered his question and looked at Grace.
She gave me a smile and mouthed 'thank you'.
Edward huffed and nudged Adrian, "Did you know about this?
Adrian kept his silence. Edward glared at him.
"You knew and you never tell me!" Edward exclaimed.
I glanced at him, "We all have secrets for a reason. Edward, you are a prince. I expect you to act like it."
"You never bothered about me." Edward retort.
"I never thought you were this ill-mannered." I started but was cut off by Grace.
"Don't say that about him." Grace defended him and Edward snapped his eyes towards her. His eyes were softening.
"Well, if he stops acting like the world owes him everything, I'm sure we can get along." I retort and folded my arms.
"As if you haven't." Adrian rolled his eyes at me.
"Pull over." I ordered the driver and he did as I said.
"I'll meet you guys there." I assured them.
"What running off like the coward you are again?" Adrian mocked.
"If you actually cared to wait and listen, maybe just maybe I'd tell you why I left. I guess fate isn't on our side. See you all soon. Be alert." I swallowed before taking off.
