Hazel's P.O.V.

The incident with the White Witch still had me scared and shaking. An hour or two has passed and I couldn't stop thinking about her. I never thought I would actually see her face again. She spoke to me and almost touched me. She almost came back to life and it would've been my fault.

Caspian kept apologizing to me over and over again, but I repeatedly told him that it wasn't his fault and he had nothing to be sorry for. I couldn't be mad at him for doing what he thought was the best thing to do for the Narnians. He was just trying to look for a new way, but he didn't expect it to be that way.

I sat on a large rock in the clearing in front of the How and looked out into the woods. I never thought I would see her again. It sent shivers down my spine just thinking about her, but I knew that I would always be afraid of her. She would always haunt me in my dreams and reality, but somehow, I needed to learn to overcome my fear. I just wasn't sure how I would be able to do that.

"Are you alright?" Susan's voice said from behind me.

I turned around and saw her slowly walk next to me. She gave me a small smile as she sat down next to me and placed a hand lightly on my shoulder.

"I'm just a little shook up." I said to her as I tried to give her a little smile.

"Where's Peter?" She asked me.

"He's with Caspian. He wanted to stay with me, but I told him that I needed a few minutes alone. I think I did a pretty good job of convincing him to go talk things out with Caspian." I said with a slight laugh.

"What about Marcel? I figured if anyone would be out here with you, it would be him." She asked.

"He's with Lucy. Believe it or not, Marcel actually knows how to braid hair." I said to her and that was enough to make us both laugh. We laughed for a moment before it went back to silence.

"I know what happened back there was... a lot for you," She said, trying to find the right words to say, "But you're one of my best friends and you know that I'm always here for you if you need someone to talk to."

"Thanks Susan." I said to her, "You can always come talk to me about anything. Speaking of which, is there anything you maybe want to tell me about?"

"What are you talking about?" She asked me confused.

"Come on, Susan. I know a crush when I see one." I said with a small smirk forming on my lips. She looked away from me and a small blush started to form on her cheeks.

"He may be... a little charming, but it wouldn't work out anyway." She said.

"You don't know that." I pointed out.

"If we go back to England, it won't." She said quietly.

"Even if we do go back to England, that doesn't mean you can't flirt a little bit." I told her. She just looked down at the ground and smiled lightly. Susan wasn't really one for romance, so it was pretty rare for her to find someone she has feelings for.

"Just think about it." I told her, "I'm going to go fine Peter. I need to talk to him about a few things."

She nodded her head and I stood up. I walked inside the How and past the Narnians sharpening their weapons. They greeted me with smiles and I returned them before walking into the tunnel. My hands slowly grazed against the drawings on the wall as I made my way to the room with the stone table.

"You're lucky, you know." Peter's voice spoke from ahead, which made me stop.

When I stopped at the entrance of the room, I saw Peter and Lucy sitting on the steps of the stone table. Peter looked up at Aslan as he spoke and Lucy looked at her older brother confused.
