Hazel's P.O.V.

The sky was grey as we walked across the field and back to the How. Everyone was exhausted and thinking about the Narnians that we lost. So many were left behind that we couldn't save. That took a toll on all of us. Peter hasn't said one word to me since we left the castle. He's upset that his plan didn't work, even though people told him that it wouldn't. Knowing Peter though, he's not going to admit to himself that he made a mistake. In the eleven years I have known and loved Peter, he has never told me he made a mistake.

Lucy and many of the Narnians that stayed behind stood outside of the How as they watched us come back. They noticed that not all of the Narnians were with us, and some of them began to cry. Peter and Caspian walked in front of Susan and I, and they barely said a word to each other. Susan and I glanced at each other as soon as we got there because we both knew something was about to happen.

"What happened?" Lucy asked when we got to the entrance.

"Ask him." Peter said angrily as he referred to Caspian.

"Peter." Susan said as Caspian stopped next to Peter.

"Me?" Caspian asked, which made Peter stop and look at him angrily, "You could've called it off. There was still time."

"No, there wasn't, thanks to you. If you kept to the plan, those soldiers might be alive." Peter accused Caspian angrily.

"If you'd stayed here like I suggested, then they definitely would be!" Caspian argued with his voice starting to rise. Susan and I looked at each other and sighed. These two arguing was really getting annoying.

"You called us, remember?" Peter asked him angrily.

"My first mistake." Caspian hissed at Peter.

"No. Your first mistake was thinking you could lead these people." Peter shot before starting to walk off.

"Peter." I said to him, surprised by what he just said.

"Hey!" Caspian shouted at him, which cut me off. Peter stopped and turned around to hear what he had to say with a glare on his face. They were both acting ridiculous because they both wanted to lead.

"I am not the one who abandoned Narnia." Caspian said to Peter sternly.

"You invaded Narnia. You have no more right to lead than Miraz does!" Peter said to Caspian as he pushed past Peter and started walking into the How.

"Peter-" I tried to say again, but he ignored me again so he could yell at Caspian.

"You, him, your father!" Peter shouted at him, which made Caspian stop, "Narnia's better off without the lot of you!"

I was stunned by what I just heard. I can't believe Peter would bring up Caspian's father like that, especially since his uncle just confessed to Caspian. Caspian screamed as he turned around and took out his sword and pointed towards Peter. Peter took out his as well and pointed it at Caspian.

"Stop it!" Edmund shouted at them.

We looked over and we saw Marcel carrying an unconscious Trumpkin. He placed Trumpkin carefully on the ground as Lucy ran over quickly. She took out her healing cordial and placed a drop in his mouth. After a moment, Trumpkin began to cough and he opened his eyes.

"What are you lot staring at? Telmarines will be here soon enough." Trumpkin said to us and I could help but smile because he was alright. Lucy was about to leave, but he grabbed her arm quickly, "Thank you...my dear little friend."

Lucy smiled at him before standing up and putting her cordial back. Susan placed her hand on my shoulder, which made me look at her. I looked over her shoulder at Peter, who was putting his sword away. I gave Susan a small smile before gently pushing her hand off my shoulder. As I walked past Peter and down into the How, I ignored his calls and I felt tears building in my eyes. I walked past all of the Narnians inside and into the tunnel. I stopped in front of one picture that caught my eye. It was a picture of Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy, Marcel, and I after the battle with the White Witch and her army. It was after Lucy saved Edmund with her healing cordial and we were all hugging. My hand went up to my mouth as a couple of tears fell. I missed when we were all happy. It brought back a lot of memories. I heard someone stop next to me, but I couldn't bring myself to look to see who it was.
