This Killjoy Has A Bulletproof Heart

"Shoot."

We roared the engine of our 1960 camaro ss to life. Mayra was in the driver's seat, Aileen got shotgun, Evelyn was in the back seat behind Mayra, and I was in the back seat behind Aileen. We were headed to save The Fabulous Killjoys. They had gone to save Grace, Ray's little sister, from Korse. We had been told to stay at the diner but we were too impatient, and we hoped we had come early enough to catch up to them.

"Hey! I think that's their car!" Evelyn said. I looked to where she was pointing and saw that it was their car. Mayra speeded up and parked our car next to theirs. We jumped out of our car and took out our ray guns. We ran up to where the Killjoys were at. They were sprawled out on the floor, injured. I ran up to where Frank was at.

"Frank! Frankie! Please wake up!" I pleaded to him. I shook him by his vest but he wouldn't wake up. The other girls were with Gerard, Ray, and Mikey.

Aileen took out the first aid kit and her and Mayra started working on trying to wake them up with rubbing alcohol. I got worked up, tears running down my face. I wiped my tears away and all I felt was rage. Rage to Korse. He took my family once. He won't take them again.

"Evelyn!" I called. Evelyn ran up to me. She had been crying too.

"Yea?" she asked me and her voice cracked.

"Let's go get Grace. And make Korse pay." I said through gritted teeth.

She took a hold of her ray gun. "Let's go, then."

We walked to our car and Mayra got up. "Evelyn! Chasity! Don't go! It's too dangerous! We'll wait a couple days and-"

"I'm done waiting, Mayra! Korse practically killed our parents and family we grew up with. I won't stand here after he tried to kill my new family. I love them too much to do that! And you can't stop us..." I said. We started heading to the car again.

"Chasity, please jus-" Mayra started again.

"Drop it, Mayra. She's too stubborn. Especially when she's mad. Go! We'll catch up to you guys later." Aileen said.

Evelyn and I got to the car and I got on the drivers seat while Evelyn got shotgun. I roared the engine to life and we started heading to where Korse was...to get revenge on our loved ones.

"It's over there." Evelyn pointed. I looked to where she was pointing and saw the building of the BL/ind. I speeded the car and parked on the outskirts of the building security. We got out of the car and took out our ray guns. We sneaked in past the dracs and ran to where the prisoners were held at.

"Moon! Search over there while I search this way!" I whispered to Evelyn. She nodded and went up the corridor to look for Grace.

I went up through my corridor and looked for Grace. The guys showed us picture of her so I knew how she looked like.

"Grace?" I whispered. I heard some movement from a cell. I walked to it and saw her. Grace was standing at the very far corner of the cell, with a couple cuts here and there and some dirt on her face.

"Grace." I said and smiled at her.

"Who are you?" her scared voice asked me.

"I'm Midnight Ghoul. I came to get you out of here." I told her.

"How do I know you aren't a drac? I don't even know you."

I smiled. "Party Poison, Fun Ghoul, Kobra Kid and Jet Star send me. I know all about you..." I lowered my voice to a whisper. "Ray told me a lot of great things about you."

Her little face brightened at the sound of Ray's name. I picked at the lock. I couldn't open it so I just shot it with my ray gun. I opened the cell door and she ran out, going to my side. I grabbed her hand and we started running, running till I saw Evelyn. We went to her side.
