(A/N I'm gonna do this day in Alex's view for the next chapter)

Eliza POV
My alarm goes off at 7:00 a.m. and I wake up Alexander. I shower and then he showers while I get ready.
"I smell your perfume," he says.
"Thanks?" I ask with a confused voice.
"It smells good," he says.
"Thank you its my favorite perfume," I say.
"Well then I'm sure you'll impress anybody who interviews you," he says.
"You too. I'm gonna go make eggs and sausage and the coffee you finish getting ready and we can go to our potential work areas," I say.
"Ok," he says.
I make the eggs and soon enough the whole apartment smells like eggs and sausage. When Alexander comes to the kitchen he smiles at me and kisses me while grabbing a mug for coffee. He is so sweet. How did I ever get so lucky. We head out the door hand in hand with a whole world of potential ahead. I went in my car while he gets in his and we drive our separate ways. When I arrive at the office I go inside and I see some pregnant women. This guy was passed out in an exam room because he sees his baby on the ultrasound. Then a couple fighting about how she lied because I guess it's not his baby. Then I head into the interview room. We talk about my credentials and they say I'll get a call within the week. My next interview is a half an hour away from there and it went well. They were very proud of my grades and my recommendations. When I got out of my interview I have an unread text from Alex.

Soon to Be Hubby👨🏻‍⚖️✍🏻-Awesome! Meeting Burr for lunch then I have three more interviews. The last one may run late because Laurens had an interview with them this morning and they were behind schedule.
Soon to Be Wifey👩🏻‍⚕️💍-Tell Burr I say hi, and ok just call me on your way home an we can figure out dinner. Gtg love you 😘💙

I text Peggy to see if she wants to meet up for lunch because she lives near my next interview. She is a kindergarten teacher but it is the summer so she is working at her schools summer school classes for 3rd graders on Monday-Thursday. Today is Friday so she can and said she was on her way. I texted Angelica too but she said she was busy today. Angelica is married to a traveling lawyer so she travels around the world for women's rights. She's in D.C. today. When I see Peggy we hug and she gazes at my ring for like 5 minutes until I make her snap out of it.
"So how's the interviews?" She asks biting into her burger.
"Good so far so good, at least I think I was good," I say eating my salad.
"Don't get yourself thinking like that you will get one of the jobs you interviewed for," she says reassuring me.
"Ok," I say looking slightly not convinced.
"Sorry about Angelica. She doesn't know Alexander well enough. If he makes you happy and he clearly does you are radiant when you look at that ring," she says.
"I just want her to like him," I say.
"I know but it took Angelica months to even warm up to the idea of dating John Church who need I remind you is her husband. Give her time when the wedding comes around she'll be happy with him and happy for you," she says.
"Thanks Peg you always cheer me up you know." I say.
She smiles at me and we pay the check. When it was time for me to go to my next interview I hugged her and told her I'll call her soon for wedding plans. I get in my car and get a call from my mom.
"Hey ma," I say.
"Hey there bride to be," she says.
"What's up momma?" I ask her.
"Are you busy or can you talk?" She asks me.
"I am driving to my next interview so I can talk until I get there. Everything ok?" I ask her.
"Yes but I wanted to talk to you about the wedding. Who's planning it? Who's invited? When and where is it? Oh am I badgering sweetie?" She asks.
"Little bit, mom Alex and I got engaged two days ago we have been busy. We will plan soon alright?" I tell her.
"Ok I sent some of the stuff in the mail. You know my neighbors sister is a wedding planner and she gave some stuff to me. I assume you already have a planner. Wait let me guess you and Alex are plan the wedding yourselves?" She asks.
"Yes we are most likely. I'll recruit help but it'll be a friend of mine," I say.
"Is it Titus?" She asks.
"Yes," I say.
Titus and I met when we were two. We were neighbors and he is my gay best friend. Like if you were to think of a gay best friend he's the definition.
"I knew it," my mom says with proudness.
"Why are you so proud?" I ask.
"I have been getting all your questions right," she says.
"No you have been getting all your questions right. Oh momma I gotta go I'm at my next interview," I say.
"Good luck! Make me proud!" She says.
"Love you," we both say at the same time and end the call.
My next two interviews go really well as well and I'm supposed to hear by all the places I applied by next Friday. When I get home Alex texted me that he is going into his last interview now. I wait for his call by cleaning and doing the dishes. Then I watching tv. When he calls me I'm in the middle of a great episode.
"Hey what's up?" He asks.
"Not much what's the plan for dinner?" I ask.
"What do you want to do?" He asks.
"I don't feel like cooking so maybe we could get takeout?" I ask.
"Sure Chinese sounds good right now," he says.
"Oh yeah. I'll call and order our usual and you pick it up ok?" I ask.
"Consider it done. Whatcha doing?" He asks.
"Watching Dance Moms," I say.
"I thought we were watching is season together," he said.
"It's a rerun don't worry. I'm gonna call the Chinese place so see you in like 30," I say.
"See ya. Love you," he says.
I respond with an I love you too. When he gets home we watch Dance Moms.
"So glad Melissa and Maddie left but I miss Kenzie," Alex says.
"Me too but oh my god! Chloe's back!" I scream.
We go to bed after two episodes of Greys Anatomy. I'm really happy right now, but I really hope I get one of the jobs. With the wedding coming up we need to the extra money and working at a daycare isn't gonna work much longer. Thank god Alex got a job working with George. Now he is going to be a lawyer and I'm really proud of him. He knows he doesn't just want to write he wants to fight.
