Bonfire Party (Week 3 Break)

After sleeping like a rock again I decided to go for a small walk. Today was a non challenge day so I decided to relax my muscles after the paintball challenge. "Joely! Your awake." I turned my head to see Beth running over to me. "Yep, surprised that Heather didn't kill me in my sleep?" I teased. Beth laughed nervously rubbing her neck. "I'm sorry for siding with Heather. I didn't mean to ditch you or the others for her." Beth told me. A small blush formed on my cheeks, nobody has ever given me a sincere apology like that. I leaned down and gave her a tight hug. "It's alright Beth. I forgive you." She smiled and hugged back.

 "Hey, we should have another bonfire! Like the one we had the night after we had to stay in the woods." Beth told me. "That's a great idea. Let's invite only the nice people on this island." I laughed. She smiled again and ran off to tell people about the bonfire. If only Cody were here. He would had have lots of stuff like candy and fresh soda left from the tuck shop. I walked back into my cabin and saw that Heather was still sleeping. Resisting the urge to slap her and run, I looked in my bag to see how much food from the tuck shop I had left. I had a few bags of chips, some more packs of gum, some flat soda, candy, and supplies for s'mores! I smiled brightly as I grabbed my bag and slung it over my shoulder. I walked out of the cabin to see Trent and Gwen chilling in the hot tub together talking. 

"Gwen! Trent!" I called, they both turned and smiled at me. "What's up?" Trent asked. I walked over and handed them a piece of gum. "Me and Beth are planning a bonfire and I would love it if you came and hung out with us! You can use the wrapper as an invitation! And yes, it is very cheesy." I smiled. They took the gum and smiled. "Thanks. Heather isn't coming is she?" Gwen asked glaring at the cabins. "No way. Not in a million years." I told them walking away to invite more people. Beth ran over to me and smiled jumping up and down. "I am so excited for tonight!" She cheered. I smiled and walked into the cafeteria. Everyone was sitting and eating their 'food'. 

I sat down next to Leshawna and smiled widely. "Me and Beth are hosting a bonfire! And we were wondering if you guys would like to come?" I asked holding up my gum packet. "OH YEAH!" Owen cried. I tossed him a piece of gum, warning him not to throw the wrapper away. "Okay, I'm down for a little party." Leshawna smile as I handed her a piece of gum. "Noah~" I sang waving another piece in my hand. He looked up from his book and looked at the gum. "Sure." He said taking the piece and eating it. "Excellent! All of the gophers besides Heather is coming!" I cheered. I stood up and very casually began to walk over to the killer bass table. 

"H-hi!" I stuttered. They looked up at me with confused looks before I could continue. "I-I know we are on different teams b-but I am having a bonfire tonight a-and I would really appreciate it if you would come and have a small party with us?" I asked holding up my gum. "And there is no Heather." I also told them. "Gonna pass." Duncan said before walking out. "I'll go!" Katie cheered. "Here, don't lose the wrapper! It'll be like an invitation!" I told her handing her a piece. "Why not? Let's party dude's!" Geoff yelled reaching for a piece. I smiled and handed it to him. "I'm down." Dj said taking a piece. "Sure." Bridgette reached for one. "Courtney? Harold?" I asked waving two sticks of gum around. Harold smiled as he took a piece from me. "I guess I can make time to go tonight." Courtney shrugged taking a piece. "Yes! Thank you guys so much!" I cheered running out of the cafeteria to tell Beth about the people coming.

"Everyone but Heather and Duncan are coming, but Courtney might not stay long. She might think that this is suspicious." I explained to Beth. She nodded in understanding and smiled. "Lets get to work on having the best bonfire ever!" Beth cheered. Me and Beth began to clean up around the campfire pit and fix things up to make room for everyone to sit and have a good time. "I still have some snacks from our tuck shop trip. We can use that as food for everyone!" I explained showing Beth the bag around my shoulder. We found some sticks and two stones to help make a fire for us. "Okay, now we just have to wait for it to get dark and we can start lighting the fire." I said placing the sticks into the pit. Me and Beth headed back to camp to hang out with the others before it got dark. I walked back into the cabins to see that Heather was now gone, finally. I grabbed my guitar out of my case and began to tune it.
