"Yes?" Eric says in a stern voice. "Sir, we need to talk to the bastards."
Eric is silent. "The south people, sir." Eric then nods as if the other soldier can see him.
Eric gets off me and gives me a glance. "What to do with you..." he murmurs to himself.
"What do these American pigs want?" Eric snarls. The other side of the door is quiet.
"They want her back." The soldier says quietly."Well, they can have her back--" his glaze softens and stares into mine as if searching for something. "Over my dead body..."
"What was that, sir?" The soldier asks.
"I said, get ready. Now!" Eric now is back to the same guy before. But now he is slightly changed.
Eric stands over me as I lay. He grabs a shirt from the floor and puts it on. The soldier runs off to do his task."I'm a fool. For wanting an American." He pauses. "I don't want you. I was having some fun, that is all." Eric runs his hand through his hair.
"B-but.." My words scramble around trying to say anything. Anything that will keep us together.
