You feel your body shake and you are terrified to the core of your existence.
Help. I can't do this anymore! I want to go home. I am tired of this. I want Eric back. I-- I need to feel warmth again! I'm so lonely... So lonely. It's dark and I am cold.
Eric slams open the door.
He slightly gives me a glance but turns quick as he looked at me."Sir! I was just-- I was doing as I was told." he starts to ramble around with his words.
Eric briefly walks over to the guard. "What don't you understand?! Hm!!? God damn it Carl!" he kicks the bucket.
The guards face goes blank for a moment. Then the fear fills his eyes.
Each man glaring at one another in silence until the phone starts to ring.
The guard, Carl walks over to the phone and cooly answers.
"Hello sir." Carl is nodding his head as the voice on the other line is barking commands.
"I understand. Yes sir. Yes. Alright. I will relay the message to the head officer. Goodbye."
He hangs the phone up and draws his breath.
"Our Great Leader demands she.." he points to me. "Is executed in public on national tv."
Eric looks at Carl and looks back at me who is still on the floor shaking.
"Go Carl. I need to deal with this."
Carl nods and bows. Then he walks away.
Now its just me and Eric.He calmly walks to me.
He lifts my face up by cupping my chin."I will get you home. Safely of course." he chuckles weakly and sadness lingers in his eyes.
