This is the update chapter that I was going to post. I had thought about waiting until the rest of the chapter were finished and posting all of them then but I won't do that for this one. The next 3 chapter will be posted together for sure because I lost a bet this week that I had made with QueerQueenie so be sure to go and check her out and thank her when those updates are up, maybe show her some love on her page by reading her book (WxW BDSM genre) or even leaving a comment on her page telling her thank you.
You don't have to but it's a way to show your thanks for the small things.
Thank you all for being patient and waiting for the updates!
Here's what you've been waiting for:
Ciao~*

After interrogating Garcia I had contacted Mike to give him directions to Adrian's house while we looked up any information we could get on the names Garcia gave us.
"Who'd you call?" I glanced over my shoulder to see Dominic walking into the room with a styrofoam cup that was most likely filled with coffee.
"Mike and his partner Matthew." I answered as I typed in more keywords on the computer and hit enter. "I'm pretty sure I called them during their shift so they should swing by whenever they get off."
"Which would be?"
I glanced up at the clock that hung on the wall and thought about the schedules.
"In about-" the doorbell ringing interrupted me, causing me to frown. "Now."
Pushing back from the table I was seated at, I made my way to the front door while Dom stayed behind doing God knows what. I didn't bother looking out the peephole since Adrian's yard was heavily guarded and the only thing I really had to worry about right now was the pissed off Matthew that greeted me the second I opened the door.
I arched a brow in questioned but he silently glared daggers at me and I shrugged and motioned for the two to follow me. I led them into the room we were currently using as a type of research room, rolling my eyes when I saw that Bryan and Adrian were already in there. Once the door was firmly shut Matthew snapped at me.
"You little bitch boy." He seethed with narrowed eyes, "you could have told us we were coming onto mafia territory!"
Mike seemed unfazed by his partner's outburst as he lifted a hand up as a greeting as his face remained expressionless. "Hey Squirrel."
Dominic turned around and his face lit up like a child on Christmas morning as he ran over to Mike, ignoring the threatening look Adrian had on. Matthew and Bryan were watching each other but neither of them seemed to find the other as a threat so I chose to not mention it and instead move on to the more important things.
"First thing first," Bryan said while Adrian pried Dominic off of Mike. Bryan crossed his arms as he sniffed, his nose twitching a bit, and leaned against the table I was utilizing as a desk. "Emilio Garcia has been double crossing you and the Cartel that has taken up residency not far from here."
Matthew and Mike both looked at each other before looking back at Bryan. They seemed uncomfortable with the idea of a fellow officer betraying their trust and putting their lives in jeopardy.
Mike seemed to be taking the lead on this one when he asked, "evidence?"
"We pulled his records as well as his family's records to see if there would be any explanation behind him associating with the drug ring." Dominic grabbed the iPad sitting near him and began scrolling through it, tapping it a few times before some documents popped up onto the flat screen tv that was mounted on the wall. He pointed to the papers as he spoke, "for Emilio it shows that he doesn't have a record. Never been arrested, no tickets, disturbance complaints, suspensions, detention, hell the man never even received a referral while in school. For his parents it's the same as well as his older sister. His older brother had a few slip ups when he was a teenager and visited juvie a couple of times before straightening out. Other than that, all of his friends and acquaintances check out and don't have any known connection to the underground and from what I've learned he seemed to keep to himself when he used to work on the narcotics team."
"He was on the drug unit?" Adrian asked but was quickly answered by Dominic nodding his head before looking at me.
"Garcia was relieved from his duties on the narcotics unit about a year and a half ago when he was then assigned to desk work. He was transferred here and sort of demoted in rank and became my partner since I was the only one who was working as a single unit. I pulled his banking statements back from when he was working in the narcotics unit until now to see if there would be a clue of a financial problem or what not. When he was still in the drug unit, it was true that he had kept to himself and didn't mingle with others since it even showed in his purchases."
"Blow up doll?" Bryan guessed and I shot him an unimpressed look.
"Not everyone has the urges of a preteen," I scoffed and looked back at the screen but remained silent. "But yes."
The guys started chuckling as I continued, "When he was placed on desk duty he remained financially stable right up until three months before he was transferred here. He never used a card but you can see he was making some pretty big withdrawals from his account. This continued until his second month of being relocated here and then we start to see large sums of money being transferred into his account as well as the large amounts being taken out."
I took this as an opportunity to glance around the room and saw that Adrian and Mike wore a hard expression while Bryan and Matthew looked deep in thought. Dominic looked as if the whole thing bored him but I knew he was thinking in his own little world, what he was thinking about I had no clue but I could only hope it was the topic at hand.
"Drug trafficking?" Matthew suggested.
Adrian shook his head. "With the amount of money that was being deposited into his account that would lead me to believe that there was something else going on besides drugs. The pay grade for dealers isn't that high and they almost never have money transferred to their bank account. It's practically unheard of. For this to happen he had to have been in close contact with the ring leader or someone who is either semi close or is related to the ring leader."
I furrowed my brows, turning back to the screen and studying the documents as if the answer would just jump out at me. I could hear the guys talking but wasn't paying much attention to what they were saying.
"Have you checked to see if there's any connection between him and Folse Abreo?"
"Yeah, and there isn't any. No family ties, friendships, relations of sexual nature, they haven't even passed each other on the street as far as we know."
"Has he ever failed a drug test?"
"His medical records and work records both say no."
Realization dawned on me as I checked over everything once more. "It's not drugs," I muttered as I snatched my gun off the table and secured it onto my waist. "It's a woman."
