Classes have started again so I apologize for the lack of updates and the short chapter.
Never the less, enjoy.

I slammed the bathroom door behind me and locked it as I panted heavily, bracing myself against the door. Everything was going to shit. From the moment I stepped into that bar I knew something was off but I had to do the sting op or we wouldn't have gotten close to or suspect. I was prepared for an ambush from maybe two of them, three at most, but hell they brought ten.
A knock on the door had my body tensing as I waited for the other person to speak. "Montes, open up it's Garcia."
Anger flared inside of me as I unlocked the door and ripped it open, dragging Garcia inside before slamming him against the door.
"Bathroom sex while on duty?" He teased with his stupid grin. "How scandalous."
I punched the door next to his head, immediately shutting him up. All traces of humor were gone from his face as he looked at me with an uneasy expression.
"Look, Montes," he tried in a soothing tone which only angered me further. "I know things got out of hand and we weren't expecting that but-"
"He was fucking tweaking goddammit!" His eyes widened as he finally processed what I said and he looked away. He remained quiet for several minutes and I began to grow suspicious the longer he remained silent. I desperately searched my memory for any indication of having been set up but I didn't know how far back to go. I suddenly remembered when I had caught him talking to Mike and Matthew the day before they had brought up the sting op and had heard him trying to convince them about using me for an undercover position but I hadn't paid it any mind.
But that wasn't enough proof, anyone could suggest to use their partner for an op. I needed something else but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't come up with anything.
Garcia starts muttering to himself and it pulls me out of my thoughts in time for me to catch some of his words. "-rod said he was clean!"
I stare at the man who was supposed to be my partner, a man who had just betrayed me. "You knew?" I spat, digging in the fist that was still clutching his shirt. There was nothing but fear in his eyes now as I pinned him to the door and stared him down with a deadly look. "You set up a fake sting with a potential suspect who happens to be having withdrawals from some hard drug, and you thrust me into the middle of it. Tell me Garcia, what did you gain from this?"
Garcia's face suddenly darkened making me leery. "There are some things you're better off not knowing Callum," he said darkly sending a chill down my spine.
I released my hold on him and stepped away, allowing him to remove himself from the door and open it. He glanced at me once more before he exited the bathroom, leaving me with my thoughts on how I could murder him. I pressed a finger to my ear that had the small Bluetooth on, never once removing my gaze from the door.
"Catch all that?" I asked Mike, knowing Matthew was next to him.
"Loud and clear," Mike responded. "Eight of the ten were arrested, our suspect being one of them, and they are on their way to the jail as we speak."
"Good." I felt my phone vibrate and quickly pulled it out of my pocket to see it was a text. I pressed the notification to open it and was shocked when I saw who contacted me. "I have something to take care of, I'll see you both in two days."
"Callum," Matthew called out quickly before I disconnected. He knew I was listening so he continued. "I have a feeling that Garcia wasn't the only one apart of this in the department so let's not mention this to anyone else."
I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. "Understood."
I disconnected as I read the text again, smirking to myself.
We need to talk. I'm at the usual spot.
Damn straight we do pal. I quickly typed and sent my reply before I exited the bathroom and climbed into my car and speeding off to the meeting location.
En camino.
En camino- on my way
