Chapter 1

My name is Lauren and I'm 15 Years old. I'm in Grade 10 of Edge Wood Middle School.
I'm not the most popular person but I'm quite popular. My vest friends are Samantha (Sammy) and Angela
I skip the bus and go with Sammy and Angela on the side walk. We walk and talk all the way
"Did you see how Mandy was looking at me just because I was flirting with Danny?" Sammy asked "I mean...weren't they over since last month?"
"She thinks she controls every boy!" I rolled my eyes
"Yesterday it was Kennett and now Danny. Who next? Theo?" Angela guessed
"She better not come near my man!" I sneered
We all laughed
Theo is my crush. Although we aren't officially an item, I like to keep him clear of Mandy.
You never know the trouble she could stir up. First is my house
"Bye!" Sammy and Angela call as they walk further down the side walk
"Bye!" I wave, I walked into my house. Everything is normal. My twin brother,  Luke on the phone with some girl, as always.
My little brother and sister, Micheal and Michelle fighting over some toy
Mom yelling at them
Dad sipping tea, not minding the noise, watching CNN.
"Mom, you're looking nice today!" I walked up the stairs.
"Thanks..." Her voice trailed off
I walked into my room and began homework
When I was done, of was dinnertime
"Lauren! Honey! Come downstairs! Its dinnertime!"
I came down. I sat beside mom on the table. As we prayed over our food, moms hand mistakenly landed on mine and I got a warm feeling in my body. I smiled.
After the prayer, we began to eat.
