Narrative

Ever since Noah kissed Millie on the cheek he was acting super weird, like not the usual Noah-weird. Millie just couldn't put her finger on it.

Maybe it's just because he had to kiss one of his best friends, like ew! Millie had gotten over it quickly, unlike Finn.

He completely zoned off, not paying attention to the game of Uno they were now playing. He kept glaring at Noah. He was hiding something, something about Millie. He just knew it. Caleb was shoving his shoulder.

"Finn! It's your turn."

Finn looks at Noah, and places down a plus four and change the color card.

"God damnit!" Noah exclaims jokingly and grabs four cards.

"Blue," Finn says cooly.

Noah was struggling to keep his secret in. He had to tell someone, but who could he trust? If he told Sadie, she would definitely tell Millie, they're best friends.

Gaten, I trust him. If I ask him not to tell, he won't. He's loyal. Noah decided he'd pull him aside during the snack break.

Noah grabbed a bag of Doritos and waited for Gaten to finish talking to Caleb. Once he did, Noah grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the kitchen .

"Noah, you okay?" Gaten whispered gently.

"Gaten, can I tell you something? But you can't tell anyone." Noah whispered, heart pounding.

"Of course, Noah. What is it?" He sits on the front room couch. Noah sits next to him.

"I-I uh, I," Noah stutters quietly.

"You what, Noah?" Gaten says softly, concerned.

"I think I have a crush... o-on Millie," Noah let out. It felt like a weight had been lifted off his chest. He had told someone.

Gaten's face shape-shifted from confused, to surprised, to happy, to mad, to sad.

"Oh Noah," Gaten frowns and pulls Noah into a warm hug.

He whispers in Noah's ear, "This'll be complicated for sure, but I'll help you through it."

Noah forces and smile and nods.

"Thanks Gaten."
