Reaching the bottom of the stairs I ran into the back of Beck and slammed onto the ground.
"Ouch. Dude, what the hell." I complained getting up and brushing a few specks of dirt off of my butt.
He held up his hand silencing me and began his way towards a short blonde haired woman.
" Who is she?" I questioned. She didn't look a day over eighteen but her clothing said other wise. She wore long black work pants and a button up black shirt with her hair pulled into a tight sophisticated bun.
Turning her head to me her eyes widened when she took me into a big hug. She smelt of jasmine and lilac.
" Uhm, not to be rude but, who are you?" I asked eyeing her up and down
" Well sweetheart, sorry to break the news to you now, but I am your mother."
"No your not, my mom is a tall slender woman who is now on a business trip in Europe. I'd think I know my own mother if I saw her, sorry 'mum'." I snapped.
She had the nerve to laugh at me and I darkened the glare on my face that had been there from the first moment she opened her mouth.
" Oh sweety don't get mad. That old hag you used to live with wasn't your mother she just took care of you when I had more important matters to handle." She smiled in between sentences.
" If I was your daughter, what could be so important that you had to abandon me." I spat, venom laced carefully in my voice.
" Well you see I was too busy trying to postpone the damn battle between Heaven and Hell. Your important honey, but not important enough to have the world crumble before my eyes even if i'm battling for the other side."
I took a step closer towards her before Beck stepped in between us.
" Can you two calm the fuck down. you," he gestured to me, " quit going all bat shit crazy till we get things worked out, and you," he pointed towards my supposedly 'mum' " quit being a bitch because we could kill you here right now considering your side of evil is going to lose once the battle actually happens."
I sighed while the wicked witch of the west directed a glare towards Beck
" I think ill be heading out now. Oh, and James , he really has his eyes set on her, everyone does. You should really watch out and be prepared. They've got a price on her body." She winked causing James to grow tense.
" I'll see you later honey, try not to get kidnapped before then." She smiled before disappearing out the front door.
