CHAPTER 3 PART 2

The fire symbol on the map was now glowing brighter than ever. Giselle was certain that Hephaestus was closer. After walking a bit further, the footprints on the map disappeared. The fire symbol stopped glowing and simply became a sticker on the parchment. Giselle's stomach flipped as she looked around fir any signs of the Mason God.

"Giselle?" The Sea God called from behind her, peeking in between the barks of two trees. "I found our God."

He motioned her over as she jogged over and peeked with him. From her hiding spot, she saw a young man, about the same age as Harry, sitting on the bank of a river. He was hugging his knees, seemingly depressed about something.

Giselle looked at Harry before slipping through the narrow gap between the trees, leaving Harry appalled. Giselle was extremely skinny, like her brother, so she could squeeze through almost anything.

"Wait! You don't want to startle him." Harry whispered, but Giselle stepped towards Hephaestus.

"Valdez!" Harry whispered, annoyed, as Giselle continued stealthily towards the God.

"Oh, for Hades' sake." Harry grumbed behind her. Giselle fought the urge to laugh at his comment. She was now almost behind the Fire God. She was debating on whether to tap his shoulder or call him, she heard a loud sniffle. She froze. Did that just come from Hephaestus?

She decided to make her presence known to him. Just as she reached her hand out to tap his shoulder ---

CREAK!

Giselle whirled around and saw Poseidon pushing apart bothe the trees effortlessly, easily stepping through and walking down towards her. He glared daggers at her before looking over her shoulder.

Behind her, she heard a shuffle and a throat clear. Her eyes widened, and she slowly turned to face her Stepfather.

She had expected a tall person with a well built torso, a dark shaggered beard, and misshapen legs.

She was in for a surprise.

The young man in front of her was handsome.

Very handsome.

He had brunette hair with a few blonde strands here and there. His eyes were piercing blue, his lips thin with a stubble of a moustache around it. His bare arms were extremely toned and smooth, with not a single tattoo inked in. He wore a simple blue shirt, unbottuned at the top. His thin legs were clad with black skinny jeans.

Giselle found herself unable to believe that this was her brother's father.

"Ah, Niall! It's been a while." Harry pushed past an astounded Giselle, reaching out to embrace his heavenly companion.

Hephaestus embraced Harry back, then pulled back and took in his appearance. "I've gotta say, Haz, this outfit looks great on ya."

He was Irish?!

Giselle forced herself to swallow as the two Gods bonded. The lengths they went to look normal...

Finally, Giselle's presence was noted. Vulcan looked over Harry's shoulder and nodded towards her. "Who's this one? Hestia? Demeter?"

Before Giselle coud even open her mouth to respond, Harry chuckled. "No, not at all! Why would Dems dress up like that? She'd be all grainy and green..."

Giselle wasn't sure if that was an insult. She decided to finally speak up.

"I'm not a Goddess, sir," she said politely. "I - "
