Ch. 8

*Emma's P.O.V*

I was honestly scared, Shane was going to meet my father today. I hope he cleaned up a little.

Shane could sense the nervousness

"Babe you alright?"

"Just a little nervous about meeting my dad."

"You know, I'm the one who is supposed to be nervous. Besides, there's nothing to worry about. I will be fine."

"I hope so." I said nervously,

"He said it himself he is trying to change himself for you."

The rest of the car ride was silent, I turned down the road to my house, and pulled into the driveway.

"Are you sure you don't want to sit in the car?"

"I'm fine, I'll come in with you."

"Alright... Let's go meet daddy."

I unlocked the front door, I walk in and my dad it siting on the couch watching reruns of Reba, which is what him and mom used to do.

"Hi dad!"

"Emma I didn't expect to see you home so soon!"

He got up and pulled me in for a tight hug, it was awkward. When he saw Shane it got super awkward.

"Emma who is this boy you have here?"

"This is my boyfriend Shane, dad Shane, Shane dad." I said super shy

"Nice to meet you -"

"Jerold."

"Nice to meet you Jerold!"

"Dad I'm going to be staying with Shane for a couple of days, so I'm going to grab a bag of my things."

"Okay Emmakins, I made macaroni if you guys are hungry."

"No thanks dad we were just about to go eat! But thanks anyway."

*Shane's P.O.V*

Emma's dad was so laid back an smooth, I don't understand why she was so scared of me meeting him.

"So Jerold, what do you do for a living?"

"We'll I'm unemployed right at the moment but I'm trying to find a job just so I'm not out living out on the street. What about you?"

This was going to be an awkward answer.

"I make YouTube videos..." I said quietly but audible enough for him to hear

"I see."

Emma please hurry up!!!

"So why do you want to date my beautiful daughter? Describe what you see when you look at her!"

"We'll I mean she's beautiful and sweet smart talented and most if all she is se- uh never mind."

Well this just got awkward!!

"Okay, if you ever hurt her I will personally hunt you down and kill you."

"Yes sir. I would never do that to her! I love her with all my heart and soul."

"Good boy."

*Emma's P.O.V*

I was packing the essentials, clothes, phone charger, bras and panties, laptop, socks, shoes, and my curler.

My hidden stash of money that I was using to save up for college. I needed it now though so college can wait for now.

I walk back out of my room with my duffle bag in one hand and purse in the other. Shane walked up to me and asked if I needed any help.

"No I got it. Bye dad see you maybe tomorrow."

"Bye Emmie!"

*Shane's P.O.V*

I'm so glad we got out of there while we did. He was intimidating and he didn't even look like a druggy alcoholic at all.

"So what did you two talk about when I was packing?"

"Nothing much. He just got to know me a little better."

"He told you that if you broke my heart he would hunt you down and kill you. Didn't he?"

"Yah how'd you know?"

"He did the same thing to my "prom" date."

"Oh wow!" I said suprised

"Hey we're almost at Denny's."

"Okay."

We get in, get a table, and order drinks. We were just deciding on something to eat.

We finally order and we start eating se food! I feel as if I haven't been eating in a while. I scarfed my food down.

"Babe you should slow down eating you might start to get the hiccups."

"I'll be fine."

"Alright."

After breakfast we loaded up to go to the mall.

We're waking to Rue 21 when Emma bumps into someone, someone she looks like she knows.
