~Chapter 33~

just wanna say that im sorry for not updating theres just been so much stuff going on (my house got robbed and my cat died all on the same day)

so thats the reason why but even if it takes 2 weeks i will update for you guys bc ilysm❤ you guys honestly mean so much to me

*Maddy's POV*

we arrive at the mansion for the baby shower my father has planned.

people are out by the pool with sun hats and cigars in their hands, a few of my family came up to me for hugs.

pretty much everyone in the family was here except my father.

i decided to ask one of the maids.

"hey have you seen my father?" i ask.

"oh yes dear he's in his study, he's not feeling himself" she reassures patting my back, i nod.

the party consisted of hugs and opening presents, not to mention me having to explain why my father isn't  showing.

but we finally made it to the moment everyone has been waiting for the reveal.

we get everything set up and get everyones attention, we explain how this is going to work.

when we pop the black balloon if the confetti is pink its a girl and if its blue its a boy.

everyone crowds around us forming a circle, i give Ethan the honors of popping the balloon.

when the pin reaches the ballon blue confetti burst into the air making people scream and run in for hugs.

Eventually people started to leave and little by little there were no more, the maids cleaned while me and Ethan (more like just Ethan) packed all of our gifts into the car.

i wanted to thank my father for this wonderful party so i went back into the house heading for his study.

once i reached the door the sound of arguing filled my ears, the door handle began moving and the door swung open. their stood cody, he pulled me aside quickly not allowing me to get a glance at my father.

"no Madison you can't go in there" he spoke.

"what do you-" he cut me off

"don't.....he can't loose you too" he whispered the last part, he let go of me and directed me the other way.

that was wierd, what is he hiding?

i thought to myself

i decided to call my father later to get to the bottom of this.

after unpacking everthing in the new nursery, i gave my dad a call.

"hello?" cody answered.

"hey um hows my dad doing? can i talk to him?" i ask.

"no-" he was cut off.

"cody who is it!?" my father yelled in the background.

"Madison"

"oh let me speak to her"

"um sir i don't think-"

"let me speak to my daughter or else you're fired!" he threatened, cody sighed and handed the phone to him.

"sweetie!" he yelled into the phone hurting my eardrum.

"hi dad i was just calling to thank you for the baby shower"

"oh it wus nooo problam" he slurred, i furrowed my eyebrows.

"dad are you drunk?"

"yeah so what? cant a business man have a drink! I'm sick and tired of you Wendy! I'm just making sure our daughter isn't being killed while you lay on your ass!" he yells, wtf did he just call me Wendy? wait moms name was Wendy.

wait?! what does he mean daughter being killed?! is he talking about me?!

"dad whats going on?!"
