After getting back to the palace with Licht, Heine went to his room to organize not only his work but his thoughts too. Unfortunately, he could not do such. The other three princes were there. Books and papers littered the floor.
"It's quite rude to do such things, your highnesses." He set down his pile of work on his desk. "Though, I did expect this."
"I'm sorry!" Bruno started immediately ashamed of his own actions. "We were just curious-"
"Save it." Heine interrupted. "I understand exactly why you would be making such a mess of my room."
"But-"
"Don't you know it's rude to do such?" Heine continued as he looked around the room. "I'm disappointed, I thought you all would be past something so childish."
"But professor we just wanted to know-"
"I know." He looked to the princes. "Now, I must ask you to leave."
"Don't you want us to clean up the mess we made?" Leo hurriedly asked.
"No." And so the three left leaving Heine to sigh in annoyance. He truly didn't know what they wanted to find. Letters? Books? Some form of physical evidence obviously.
Unfortunately for them, Heine was one step ahead. He couldn't help but smirk to himself at the thought. It was in that moment that he understood the reason for Victor's reaction. His smirk morphed into a smile.
Perhaps he was letting the fear get the best of him.

He was picking up the final page of many the princes left on the ground when there was a knock on the door. He froze.
"Who is it?"
"The king."
"Come in then." The door opened with Victor sliding in. As soon as it was closed again, Heine relaxed. "This is sudden, don't you think?" He turned and straightedof paper on the desk.
"I'm aware." Victor paused. "What happened in here? It looks like its been ransacked."
"Well, that's not far from the truth." Heine placed the pile on the desk and turned around. "The princes have decided to go searching for the truth." Victor's eyes went wide.
"Why?"
"Simple." Heine sighed. "They're suspicious."
"Of course..." Victor sighed and made his way to the bed to sit.
"What do you suppose we do?"
"I'm assuming you don't have an idea either?" Victor chuckled nervously.
"I had one particular idea."
"What is it?" Victor was quick to noticed Heine was refusing to look straight at him. Instead he was looking around the room.
"You will hate it." Confusion grew within Victor even more.
"What do you mean?"
"What if we minimize the time we spend together?" His mind took a moment to process the idea. The more he thought about it, the more it angered him. Minimizing the already short amount of time he spent with Heine was something he absolutely didn't want.
"Absolutely not." His voice was sharp.
"I said you wouldn't like it." Heine walked over to the bed and sat next to him. Victor thought for a moment. A slight fear that Heine would want the idea built itself into his head.
"Do you like the idea?" He asked. Heine looked him straight in the eye then.
"Of course not." Heine looked dowm. His lips dropping down to a frown. "But it's an idea to consider."
A mutual silence washed through the room. Both lost in thought.
"So why did you actually come here?" Heine interrupted the silence.
"I have to admit it." Victor's frown twitched into a smile. "I enjoy your presence."
"Always late to say such things." Heine smirked. "I am content to see you admit it, your highness."
"How formal."
"Then what would you consider as appropriate for this situation?"
"Let me think." Victor closed his eyes for a few seconds. A mischievous expression painting his features. "I know!" His eyes flciked open. He was quick to cup Heine's cheeks and lean down to bring their lips together. Heine's response was surprisingly quick. Though it was understandable. The last moment they had like this was much too long ago. A moment later, Victor pulled back. "What do you think?" He mused.
"I think..." Heine breathed as he grabbed at Victor's collar. "I need more."
"Oh really?"
"Victor I will not waste a second pushing you out that door if you don't kiss me again right now."
