Chapter 58

I know that he said to dress nice, but I just don't know what to wear out of all these clothes that I have in my wardrobe.

Sorting through my closet, I discovered some of my dresses while taking a few before viewing them over. I FaceTimed Lin for her judgment.

"Hey girl what's up?" She waved and got situated on her bed, Jack next to her

I waved back to her before waving to Jack "Well, I can't find a dress for tonight. Alex is taking me out to some fancy dinner since we never got to go last weekend" I pulled my clothes off and put the first dress on "Do you like this one?" I asked eagerly. She made the twirling action with his hands so I twirled.

Once I stopped and got my balance, she shook her head "No, it kind of makes your butt look big" she laughed, I turned around in my mirror. Oh damn, she's right. Moving on.

After 4 dresses I stepped out in a black scalloped lace dress, it hugged my waist before falling a little above my knees. My mouth dropped as I looked at myself in the mirror.

"Oh, you have to wear that one, with your nude heels you'll be on fire" she snapped, earning a chuckle from Jack "Yeah Sarah you look great!" he winked, I rolled my eyes "Thanks, Lin, and thanks, Jackolantern" I stuck my tongue out at him before slipping my heels onto my feet.

I looked at myself in the mirror before seizing my purse. Soon after that, the doorbell rang. It must be Alex "Okay, Lin I have to go talk later, love you!" I waved before shutting my laptop and hurrying out of my room.

Zack got up off of the couch and opened the door. It revealed Alex in a pair of black dress pants with a gray shirt tucked into his waist, a tie wrapped around his neck. He looked up, a smile on his face appeared as I stood in front of him

"You look amazing, love" a smile appeared on my face as I adjusted his tie "Thanks, baby, you clean up well" he shrugged before kissing my cheek "Are you ready malady?" he held out his arm for me to take, so I did, saying goodbye to Zack.

He walked me to the door, unlocking it "Someones been getting tips from Rian haven't they" I teased, he rolled his eyes before motioning me to get in.

I got in as he closed the door before walking to his side of the car and getting in. I held my hand out, he grasped it before pulling out of the driveway and speeding down the road. The song 'All of Me' by John Lennon started playing as I leaned my head back against the headrest.

As we pulled up into the restaurant Sotto Sopra, we noticed that there was barely anyone here which was probably a good thing. Alex parked close to the entrance before shutting the car off. I waited a minute before he came over and opened my door, offering me a hand. In which I took. Once I stood up out of the car he took my by surprise and kissed me.

A smile formed on my face as I kissed back, closing the door behind me. He pulled away and grabbed my hand, I leaned my head against his shoulder as we walked into the door being met by a waiter.

Soon we were escorted to our table, which was in the back corner, there were a few tables full maybe 10 out of the 20. The waiter pulled my chair after I sat down I thanked him as he gave us menus.

Sifting through it, there was a lot that I wasn't sure of but once I found something to eat we ordered.

I got the PAN-ROASTED NOVA SCOTIA WILD HALIBUT while he got the SHRIMP & GRITS. We both just got water to go along with our food, neither one of us were wanting to get wine or anything else.

My legs crossed over each other as my hands rested in my lap, twiddling my thumbs as we sat there in silence for a moment.

The silence grew so I began to talk "This is really nice Alex, you didn't have to do this all for me. It must cost a fortune to eat here" he shrugged before taking my hand in his "Yeah, but you're worth it all" I rolled my eyes at his cheeky remarks

"You're such a goof, you know that?" he sat back offended, holding his other hand over where his heart would be "Sarah Marie, I am offended, but I know that." but laughed about it afterward, taking a sip of his water. "But you love me" I cooed while looking around the room "Sadly, I love you" he chuckled, I scoffed and rolled my eyes before our food was placed in front of us.

"You better Gaskarth, or you'll have a problem on your hands pretty soon" I loosely glared before taking a bite of my food, not bad actually. We sat and ate our dinner, the occasional laughs and silly faces being made.

Once we were both ready to leave, he then laid down 100 dollar bill on the table and got up, I gave him a weird look before shaking it off and following him outside, the crisp and cold air hitting my skin.
