When Jordan returned to the antique shop, a rather mysterious note was half-shoved into the letterbox. The note was short, and didn't explain much, but it told Jordan to journey to the Abyssal Ruins in Unova if she 'ever wanted to see her little assistant again'.
So, of course, Jordan did just that. She packed up the essentials she would need, took the next available flight to Unova (with Cari in tow), and when she reached Undella Town she immediately headed towards the rundown 'Rent-A-Surf' shack by the ocean.
"Hello?" Jordan called as she pushed open the door, which looked to be just a large slab of driftwood screwed onto the hinges. Jordan heard a rustle of, presumably, papers, before an overly large man came through a door behind the counter, holding an equally jumbo sized packet of Worcester Sauce flavoured crisps. Taken slightly aback by the man's rather unique appearance, Jordan had to recompose herself before speaking. "Excuse me, sir, but do you happen to have any Pokémon that can take me to the Abyssal Ruins?" Jordan had to force a sweet, airy voice, as she knew that guys like this can't resist cute, dumb girls who need help.
"Sorry, miss, Pokémon can't take you to made up places," the man scoffed, before grabbing a large handful of crisps and stuffing them into his mouth, his mouth opening and closing as he started chewing, giving Jordan a rather disgusting view. So charm wasn't going to work, this guy was way too stupid. It was time to use force.
In one swift movement, Jordan swung her leg around until it collided with the man's skull with a sickening crunch, before the force of Jordan's kick pushed him to the ground, which honestly shook the ground a bit when he hit the floor. Jordan then stood over him, hands on her hips.
"Right, you overgrown beach ball, give me a Pokémon that can dive to the bottom of the ocean before I decide to find out how much pressure it'll take to pop you like a balloon." There was an evil glint in Jordan's eyes, a mix of anger and sadism, which caused the man to quickly scramble to his feet (which proved extremely difficult) before he opened a small cupboard nearby and pulled out a dusty PokéBall. With a cute smile, Jordan took the PokéBall and skipped out, humming to herself.
The Pokémon inside turned out to be a Blastoise, who greeted Jordan with a happy grunt when he saw her. The Blastoise was also more than happy to take Jordan down to the bottom of Undella Bay, while she clung onto its shell, a small breathing apparatus in her mouth so she didn't have to hold her breath.
It didn't take long for Jordan and Blastoise to reach the Abyssal Ruins, which were very slowly crumbling. Once her feet were firmly on the cobblestone leading to the entrance, Jordan returned Blastoise to its PokéBall before she headed inside, a determined look on her face. However, after her first few steps, Jordan walked into some sort of bubble, that was seemingly made of magic and kept the majority of the ruins dry and explorable, so Jordan took the breathing device out of her mouth and put it in her bag, letting Cari hop out. A few more steps, Jordan's shoes echoing on the hard stone of the floor, before something covered her eyes. She screamed and kicked, but the person behind her was too strong, and they quickly had Jordan's wrists in one of their hands, a very tight grip keeping her from moving. She was blindfolded and gagged, her screams for help muffled, and her flails to free herself ineffective. So, she decided to wait until she was released from her captor's grip, to make her move.
After what felt like forever, the person stopped, before shoving Jordan onto the ground. Now that her hands were free, she was able to remove the blindfold and gag, and she briefly saw the smirking face of Michael before the entrance to the cave she was in seemed to close up, as if by magic, but not before Jordan realised that Michael had taken Cari.
"Hey!" Jordan yelled, running up to the boulder and starting to pound at it with her fists. "Let me out you jerks! And let Cari go!!" Nobody replied. "Hey!! Let me out of here!!" After a few more hits, Jordan stopped and slowly slid to the ground, on her knees. "No...please, somebody, anybody..." She was holding back choked sobs now, looking at her hands as her eyes accustomed to the low light. "Ashworth...please..."
That was the last thing Jordan said to the darkness, before closing her eyes and letting it consume her.
