5- New Guys

Later that day at work I felt kind of uncomfortable. It was kind of hard to dodge Boze all day. I knew I'd have to talk to her sometime again in the future. But then as I sit down in my seat I see somebody staring across from me. It was some guy siting in Sara's desk. "Uh, may I help you?" I ask.
"Oh, sorry."
Then I was just working on my computer in silence and he was still siting there staring at me. Whenever I would look up, he would look down. And whenever I looked down, he looked up. "Okay seriously, can you stop." I say.
"Uh..."
"Thanks." I say as I get back to what I was doing once again.
Then he pulls out his phone. And just a couple of minutes later he finally speaks up. "I'm Flitz."
"I know, Boze told me yesterday. Remember?" I said with a bit of attitude.
"Yeah, right."
"Do you have a problem with me or something?" I ask.
"No, I don't. I'm just--"
"Trying to bother me?" I ask.
"No, not at all."
Then Shayne comes up behind me. "Sorry Flitz, could I steal her for a little bit?"
"Uh, sure..." Flitz said disappointed.
"Thanks. Come with me." Shayne says directing me over toward the Smosh room.
So then we walk into the room and I see Noah and Keith. Which I haven't met before, but I recognize from the videos. "Thanks for coming. By the way this is--" Noah says as I interrupted.
"Keith. Right?"
"That's me baby." Keith said.
"Okay, shut up. But we've figured out what Boze is up to. And let me tell you, she is not alone."
"We actually think she is doing this with Damien." Keith said.
"Wait what?!" Shayne questioned.
"That actually makes sense. She said she needs help from somebody new as well. Damien is the newest member right?"
"Yeah, but he is also my best friend." Shayne points out.
"Which then, he can tell Boze alllllllll of your secrets." Keith said.
"What is his secrets?" I ask.
Shayne stares at me scared. He acts like he doesn't want me to know something. I can see it in his eyes. "Can I tell her?" Noah asks Shayne.
"Uh, yeah. But let me explain afterwards."
I feel confused. Maybe Boze is somebody I need all along. If I'm gonna work here I need to figure out these things with her. "Shayne and Sara are dating."
Then, it felt like my heart dropped. I wanted to tell Sara that I thought Shayne was cute. But all along, HE WAS HER BOYFRIEND! "We aren't dating anymore though, it's done, it's over. We have both moved on easily. It's nothing." Shayne says trying to cover up something.
Welp, that lost my chance with him. I'll just stick with a friend, and ally. No boyfriend...
"Y/N, you remember Boze mentioning something about a member of the Smosh squad hiding something about their identity, right?" Noah asks me.
"Yeah, I do."
"That's next on our list to figure out. And we need your help." Noah said.
"No, I'm not doing that. I don't want to help anybody. I just want to do work here that needs to be done. Liking editing videos or checking my email. Not any of this. I gotta go." I said bursting out of the room.
Still in the room, Keith looks straight to Noah and Shayne and decides to chase after me.
I was out on the balcony a bit teary eyed. Then Keith came up behind me ready to cheer me up. "Hey Y/N."
I look over at him and don't respond. "Can you please tell me what's going on?" Keith asks me.
"I-I don't even know."
"How come?"
"It's all just so confusing. I wasn't expecting this."
"None of us were. This isn't how smosh is. There is just somebody behind this that's making it like this. And it's probably boze. And Damien maybe." Keith said.
"You know what. If anybody wants to talk to me, it better be something positive. I hate the negativity and drama." I said.
"I agree. But I just want you to know that I'm truly, honestly there for you." Keith said as we were looking into each other's eyes. "Because, I... think I..."
Then, we kiss. He leans in toward me kissing my lips, sweet, and gentle. So he finishes his sentence. "I love you."
