Hannah's POV
I woke up in Minho's bed since he had let me sleep in it last night after the bonfire. I got changed into some cargo pants, a green t-shirt and some combat boots and then pulled my hair into a high pony tail. Just as I was about to open the door and head down to get some breakfast the door swung open and Newt barged right in.
"Oh! Um sorry Hannah, I didn't realize that you were in here... wait why are you in Minho's room...?" He asked accusingly.
I started blushing and then mentally scolded myself for it, I didn't have anything to blush about!
"Oh um Minho just let me sleep in his room after the bonfire." I replied quickly.
Then as if on cue Minho came into the room looked around at the scene around him and slowly backed out of the room.
"Minho! You shucking shank get back here!" Newt laughed.
"Hey Newt what up?" Minho asked smiling.
"Why is Hannah in your room?" Newt asked suspiciously.
"I don't know Newt why do you think Hannah is in my room?" Minho asked.
"Minho just answer the shucking question so I can go back to work!" Newt stated.
"I think the question here Newt is why are you in my room?" Minho retorted.
"I came here to tell you that you need to train Hannah to be a runner and today is the first day of her training, so get to work!" Newt said.
Newt laughed and then patted Minho on the back and then left.
"Anyway... So are you ready to be a runner Hannah?" Minho asked.
"Let's go!" I replied.

Newt's POV
As I walked back to report to Alby that there was a new runner in the glade I couldn't help but think... Minho that shucking shank. Always causing trouble. On my way to the glade I saw Laura. I thought about our kiss last night and smiled. I really liked this girl. Although I wasn't sure if we were dating or not...oh well.
"Hey Newt!" Laura called me over.
The other gladers looked at me, confusion plastered on their faces as I walked towards Laura. When I reached her, I dipped her down and kissed her and around me everyone starting clapping. When we broke away I started smiling and I put my arm around Laura and walked over to grab some slop.

Minho's POV
I started off with Hannah's training by doing some simple exercises. The first being just simple stretches before we headed into the Maze. Then I tested her speed by racing her and was pretty impressed but you know she wasn't as good as I was. No one was as good as me. I gave her her running pack and then we headed into the Maze. The other runners had already left this morning so it was just Hannah and I. She kept up with me pretty well as I looked over at her she was examining every inch of the Maze and taking it all in. I smiled at her and she smiled back and eventually we stopped for lunch. We each ate sandwiches courtesy of Frypan.
"So Hannah how do you like being a runner so far?" I asked.
"It's great although a little terrifying to be honest." She replied.
"Don't worry I'll always protect you." I said.
I mentally slapped myself omg why did I say that! It just came out of my mouth. She smiled at me and I just wanted to crash my lips against hers, but we had to finish mapping the maze and get back to the glade before the gates closed.
"We should probably head back" I said.
Hannah just nodded in agreement and then we headed back to the glade.

Laura's POV
All of a sudden a loud sound of clanging metal reverberated through the glade. I looked at Newt knowing what that sound meant. A new greenie had just arrived in the glade. Everyone started to head over to the box and wait for the arrival of the greenie. The box finally came up and Gally jumped into it to greet the new glader. When he got out of the box he bolted. Just started running full speed across the glade. Then completely face planted into the grass and everyone around me started laughing and I couldn't help but join in the laughter. The boy had brown hair and brown eyes and was pretty tall. He was very handsome but not as handsome as Newt. Once they got the boy to calm down  and Newt introduced himself, Newt and I headed over to finish our daily jobs.
