It was a couple days after the panic attack incident:
"I don't see the problem!"
You were in a heated argument with Tony, surrounded by all the other Avengers except Thor, who was watching Loki. You had had and idea that you thought would benefit the team and Loki, but Tony and a couple others were being persistent.
"The problem is, he tried to take over the planet and he destroyed half of fucking New York City!" Tony yelled back his contradiction.
"He's apologized for that! He's changed Tony! He feels sorry for it! Why on Gods Green Earth should you deny him a second chance?" You retort with a voice full of rage, your wings bristling in anger.
"I certainly haven't heard his apology, and a few fucking sentences isn't going to rebuild half a fucking city! He doesn't deserve a second chance for what he did!" Tony yells, uncontrollable fury racing in his veins.
"Tony, I think (Y/N) is right. We should give him a chance. If he really wants to make up for what he did, this would be the best way. No, a few sentences won't fix the city, but he can help make up for it if he's part of the team." Steve cuts in.
"But what if he goes rouge? Huh? What then? What if he decides he doesn't like playing nice-guy anymore and tries to attack us again?" Clint puts in.
"If he does we'll deal with him. (Y/N) was able to take him on once, she is still fully capable of that should it be called upon her." Nat responds.
"She wouldn't! She has too much a soft spot for him! She wouldn't be up to it." Tony interjects.
"If he attacks us again that means he has betrayed my trust and friendship. No one does that and gets away with it. If he does go rouge I will do as I'm told, no matter what I'm told unless some outside force renders me unable to." You state, your glare towards Tony is as cold as ice and your posture is strong. Your wings twitch in annoyance and slight sadness at the thought of having to cut Loki up yet again.
The room was silent as Fury barged into the room.
"(Y/L/N)! Stark! My office. Now." Fury barked at the two of you. Causing Tony to flinch and your wings to shake a little.
You walked silently to Fury's office, side glaring at Tony the entire way.
Once you reached the door to your doom, you both knocked at the same time, angrily looking at each other once you had.
"Get in here." Fury ordered. Tony was quick to open the door just enough for him and push it behind him as if no one was following him. This made you run into the door and push it open while rubbing your forehead.
"Take a seat the two of you." You both did so, now a little more scared than angry.
"Stark, I've been watching the way (Y/N) interacts with Loki since he got here. I must say, I'm impressed that you've managed to get him this open minded in this short amount of time." You replied with a simple 'Thank You Sir' before he moved on,"I put her on guard because I thought that she may do exactly what she did. She became his attached to him and he became attached to her. Not only does this give Loki a reason to stay with us should he become a part of the team, but it shows that he can change. When (Y/N) was hollering about him apologizing, she wasn't lying." Fury paused for a second to play the clip from the security cameras. It was Loki's apology and confession, "There, now you've heard his apology."
Tony froze for a second, thinking back on the argument.
"Wait! You're not actually considering putting Reindeer Games on the team are you?"
"Yes I am. He would be a useful team member, and if he lost control, (Y/N) could take him down." Fury stated with a voice made of rock and stone.
"I can't believe this." Tony muttered.
You were beyond exhilarated. Loki would finally have the chance to get out of the awful cell and help rebuild New York! He would be a part of the team and you could fight for good by his side! Your wings subconsciously fluttered in excitement.
"If I may ask, sir, where will Loki be staying if he agrees to join the team?" You ask timidly as Tony sulks beside you.
"I was hoping you could let him stay at your apartment. That is if you have a spare room. If not, we'll figure something out. You're closest to him and given the little incident that happened a couple days ago, you should probably be the one to watch him." Fury said with reason. You didn't disagree.
You nodded your head in agreement to Fury's suggestion before Tony suddenly looks at you.
"Wait, what happened a couple days ago?" Tony asks, suddenly perky and curious.
"That's not to be discussed. It's nothing to do with you. Just a small medical problem that was taken care of." Fury answered sharply.
Tony looked like he was wanting to press on, but he didn't in better judgement of the situation.
"Have you asked him if he wants to be a part of the team yet (Y/N)?" Fury asks when he turns to you.
"Not yet. I was going to the day the incident happened and I've been having to keeping a close eye on him and his health since then, so I haven't really gotten the chance." You say to answer Fury's question.
"Alright. You both are dismissed. (Y/N), go ahead and ask him. If he says yes, we'll go from there. If he says no, it's his loss."
"Yes sir." You state strongly.
As you and Tony walk out of Fury's office, Tony looks to you with a stern, but curious look.
"How long has Fury known about your plan to ask Loki to be in the team?"
"A few days now. I told him the afternoon before the incident." You reply, a smug look on your face.
Tony sighed and parted ways with you so he could go to his lab and you could go to Loki's cell. On the way there you ran into Nat, Steve and Clint who followed you.
"What did Fury say?" Steve asked as the three looked at you with interest and anticipation.
"He said that if Loki wants to join the team he can. If not, it's his loss." You beamed, wings held high in happiness.
"That's great!" Steve replied. Nat gave a smile and Clint just shrugged his shoulders; obviously not too happy about the situation.
"I'm actually going to ask him now. I don't know if you are okay to be in his cell, but I think a small exception can be made if you want to hear his answer upfront." You say almost mischievously.
"I don't know about you two boys, but I wanna know his answer." Nat stated as she continued to follow you.
"I want to. How about you Clint?" Steve answered then asked.
"What the hell. I'll either be happy or upset." Clint says begrudgingly.
So all three of you walk to Loki's cell to await an answer to the question you wanted so badly to ask.
