It's been a month.

Loki paced back and forth in Thor's living room, overcome by thoughts of what was happening to you and where you were. He was worried. More so than he had ever been.

When a week had gone by he had patiently waited for you and your jet in the hangar. When you didn't show, he started to worry but he figured you could be a few days late. At two weeks he had begun to worry a bit more, but he didn't say anything, thinking that Fury knew what was up. When three weeks passed he was nearly panicking and often on the verge of another attack. Now, at four weeks, he was terrified and worried beyond words. How he managed to keep his cool, he didn't know, but somehow he did, and he was determined to get you back.

"What troubles you brother?" Thor asked as he walked through the front door, just getting back from a meeting on a lower floor at Avengers Tower.

"It's been four weeks." Loki states as his feet pad back and forth across the carpeted floor. He ran a hand anxiously through this inky black hair.

"Oh. Yes it has. We ta-" Thor was cut of by Loki mumbling something to himself. He couldn't quite hear what his brother had said so he asked.

"What was that Loki?"

"I said: we need to find her. She was only supposed to be gone a week and now it's been a month. Something's wrong." Loki finished strongly, sure that he was correct in thinking that something was wrong.

"Then there's good news for you Loki." This makes Loki turn to look at Thor, urging him to go on. "We're sending out a search party for her. I asked if you could go and Fury said that he would allow it."

The second that Thor stopped talking, Loki rushed over to him.

"Do they know where she is? When do we go?"

"We have a general area with a half-mile radius of where she could be based on her last tracked point. We leave as soon as you're ready and we're all on the jet." Thor reported to his fretting brother.

"Alright. Gimme a second... I... I'll be ready in a minute." Loki said, thinking of all the millions of possible situations you were in. This did nothing to help him calm down.

"Loki." Thor called out, before his brother disappeared behind the door to his borrowed room. Loki's turned to look at Thor, who had a concerned look on his face, "She'll be okay." Thor's voice was somber as he tried to comfort his adoptive family.

At this, Loki just nodded a little and looked forlorn at the door, blinking rapidly a couple times before opening it, and entering.

A couple minutes later Loki emerged from his room in his full armor, save for his helmet, which was resting in his left arm. His scepter in his right.

If Thor was correct, he saw the faint trails of tear stains on his brother's face. Knowing Loki wouldn't want to talk about it, he didn't ask, but he was finally understanding how important this was to Loki. If it were Jane, Thor would have freaked by the second day she was overdue. The world would have flooded by a month.

The two made their way to the hangar silently. Loki's thought were going wild. What if you weren't okay? What if you were hurt? Or worse... dead? Loki shuttered at the thought. Thor didn't fail to notice.

"Are you okay Loki?" Thor asked with concern laced in his voice.

"Just a draft." Was Loki's curt response.

When they arrived at the hangar, from which you had left, they found another jet, just like yours, waiting to be boarded. There were S.H.E.I.L.D. agents everywhere; loading equipment and boarding for takeoff.

"So, what's the plan? How are we going about getting (Y/N) back?" Loki says as he enters the jet after Thor.

"Plan is: We will enter the base, in which she is supposedly being held, with Tony, Steve, and Natasha, covering the mile wide circular area that she could also be in. Four S.H.E.I.L.D. agents will be taking care of any guards that come to be in our way. Five agents will also go with Nat, Steve, and Tony each for the same reasons.

If we happen to come across her, I'll be covering you while you look for her. If she's in another building either Natasha, Steve, or Tony will search for her while the fifth S.H.E.I.L.D. agent will cover them." Thor states all the details of the mission that were discussed at today's meeting.

"Sounds good." Loki stated almost absent-mindedly as he stared out the window next to his seat.

"Hey there Reindeer Games!" Tony greeted as he stepped into the jet and patted Loki on the shoulder.

"Hello Stark." Loki answered, seemingly uninterested with anyone and anything that wasn't you.

"Why the long face buddy?" Loki lightly cringed at your nickname for him coming from Tony. It didn't sound nearly as sweet from him as it did from you.

"I suggest that you leave Loki alone Tony." Natasha said as she boarded.

"And why is that?" Tony asked as if he didn't care.

"He's got a lot on his mind." Nat answered, giving Loki a glance which he returned, nodding ever so slightly in thanks to her.

"Everyone ready to go?" Steve asked he stepped into the jet.

"Yep." Tony replied quickly, answering for everyone and dropping his previous conversation. He took his seat next to Steve, practically in his lap even though there was plenty of room, while Nat sat next to Thor, letting Loki be by himself. For that Loki was grateful.

"Thank you for that Natasha." Thor said quietly.

"It's no problem. I know what it's like to need some time alone with your thoughts. And I know how much (Y/N) means to Loki." Nat said gently, looking towards Loki, whose back was to them, "If it makes any difference, she cares for him as much as he cares for her."

"I bet Loki would love to hear something like that. Not now though. It's best to leave him be with his thoughts for now. And I'm sure he'd prefer to hear it from her." Thor says in a whisper as the conversation dulls down.

"As am I." Nat says as the conversation ends.

About five minutes later the jet took off, traveling to a building that was seven miles north of the building you were originally sent to for your mission.

Loki did everything in his power to keep your suffering image off of his mind. The picture in his mind of you with any sort of injury enraged him, but at the same time, it hurt him more than anything.

He thought back to when you had first met. He remembered the rage he had felt when he saw you decimating his army and the pure anger when you had taken him down. To think that you would eventually make him fall for you? He laughed at the now-fond memory. Imagine telling that to the kids! Wait. What?

He shook his head and thought of all the things about you that he loved. Your sass, your strength, your kindness and forgiveness, which he had seen little of from anyone else, your gorgeous eyes and frosty wings with the black tips, and your beautiful hair and face. He loved it all.

He was jerked from his thoughts as he felt the jet land. He stood when the plane came to a complete stop, put on his helmet, and grabbed his scepter, ready to destroy what had kidnapped you.
