Ricky didn't remove his eyes from the front cover of the book for a few minutes. Aris stood in front of him with her paws folded in front of her. "I.....I don't understand!" Ricky cried, extremely confused. "Why do you have my Grandparents book?! Did you...........know my Grandparents?" A tear rolled down Aris' eye. "Yes, I did." Aris confessed calmly. "I was a family friend of your Grandparents. We shared many things in common. Include Christianity." "I...... How come my Grandparents never told me about you?!!" Ricky shouted stressfully, as he stood up. "They would have said something!!" "They've been spreading the world for years." Aris continued calmly, a few more tears rolling down her eyes. "They never told you about me because they knew that, eventually, the U.M.F.U. would accuse them of speaking treasonous speeches." "Why not, Aris?!" Ricky asked, still confused. "You're not giving a clear explanation! How come they never told you about me?! And, how long have they known you?!" "Not just me. My family knew your Grandparents as well." Aris said, wiping the tears off her eyes with a tissue. "Your Grandparents went to this chapel to worship God." Ricky backed away in distressful shock. "How could this be true?!" Ricky cried, horrified. "You need to explain this more clearly, Aris!! PLEASE!!" Aris tearfully nodded. "Okay, Ricky. I will tell you." She said, still calm and peaceful. She walked towards Ricky, slowly fell on her knees, and rested on her legs. Ricky sat down, his legs crossed. "We've welcomed all species, especially humans, to our bunker. For homeless children. Sick children. Senior citizens. The disabled. The blind. The deaf. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is welcome. Even former criminals who have begged for God's forgiveness. Jeff London came here when Julicia was sick, but he had no idea who ran the chapel when he came here. He wasn't horrified, but he was surprised that wolves could talk." She started giggling a little. "Jeff prayed that Julicia would recover from her sickness." She continued calmly. "He told me how much she meant to both you and him. I read him an encouraging verse to him and encouraged him to memorize it in his head." "Wh-What verse was it?" Ricky asked, trying to calm down. "I would like to know." "Psalm 28:7." Aris said kindly. "The Lord protects and defends me; I trust in him. He gives me help and makes me glad; I praise him with joyful songs. The Lord protects his people; he defends and saves his chosen king. Save your people, Lord, and bless those who are yours. Be their shepherd, and take care of them forever." "......Wow." Ricky said, astonished, but still trying to calm down. "That's really amazing... I was scared myself when Grandma was sick...... What else......happened?" "Jeff, my family, and I quickly became friends." Aris continued. "They told us how they love spreading the word of God. And, they told us how they knew the U.M.F.U. was gonna execute them for treason one day and they knew you would be upset. They asked us to become your legal guardians when that happens. However, my family and I were taken to Scotland for execution. I escaped and tried to save my family, but they died in the English Concentration Camps. When I arrived at your house, I saw that you were gone." Ricky is completely speechless. "........" "Ricky?" Aris said softly. "Does something trouble you?" "I.......I was afraid..." Ricky whispered in fear. "I was afraid that the U.M.F.U. would have their Army kill me. They told me to hide in the closet. I didn't know what was going on, but I heard voices and radio chatter. ........Colonel Martinson was there! I recognized his voice! He took my Grandparents away from me!" "I'm so sorry, Ricky." Aris said tearfully, hugging Ricky with his head against her chest. "If I came to the house on time, I would've taken you and your Grandparents to the bunker and hide us all there forever." "I wish that actually happened." Ricky cried, as Aris stroked his hair. "But, it didn't. I lost everything...!" "You have me." Aris said, smiling. "And, you have God most of all, so no. You didn't lose everything, Ricky." "Oh, no?" Ricky asked. "I didn't lose ANYTHING?" "Of course not!" Aris said happily, as she let go of Ricky. "You have God. He will never abandon you. And.......neither would I." Ricky smiled while a tear rolled down his eye. "Heh, heh. I'm.........happy that you truly understand me." He said, tearing up. "You've always been so sweet to me since we've just met." Aris started giggling. "I try!" She said happily. "I try to be this kind!" Ricky smiled a small smile. "You know what?" Ricky said. "I think I can consider you to be..............family."
