Hello, my lovelies! I'm really terribly sorry for the long wait, I haven't had the greatest motivation but hopefully, I'm back now and you guys enjoy!

3 months after Elevations initial visit:

Jacan's POV

"Are you sure they're going to be okay?" Nana asked worriedly. I smiled and laughed as I watch her fret over her two children who were resting in the crib. It had almost been four months since Nana went on maternity leave and she was ready to get back into work again. Sort of. She was still worried about her children and I understood why. It is hard to have a baby and be with them for months before finally letting them go.

"Of course they'll be safe with me. I've had to care for Jessy since she was born, don't worry about it, Nana. Though, you can always stay home. You know Edward would supply you with any money you guys need." That seemed to take her out of her worried state as she frantically shook her head.

"No, no. I can't do that to my baby Edward, I've gotta work for it. Plus, I need the break. I need some time to think alone and that won't happen with two kids around." She gave out a small laugh. "Thank you Jacan, for caring for them. If anything happens–"

"I'll send someone to contact you," I told her and gave her a small smile. "Now, if you're leaving you should go." I gestured towards the door. She bit her lip and nodded.

"Thank you." She whispered, leaning up to kiss my cheek before kissing her children.

"Of course. Come see them anytime you need." Then she was off and I was alone. I heard a gurgle of a noise off in the distance and couldn't help but groan. I was never one for babysitting, especially newborns. Newborns were a totally different story than toddlers or pre-teens and whatnot. When my sister was younger, I would have to take care of her as my parents went off to work and it was exhausting. Of course, there were good moments and I loved her, so it wasn't all bad. Even though I may hate taking care of newborns, I would never turn down babysitting them if it was for a good cause. So, here I am, babysitting my nieces. Despite the fact that Edward and I aren't married and Edward isn't related to Nana, we all agreed that Alexios, Edward, and I would be the Uncles while Jen was the Aunt.

Jen was a character. I can say that. I never met someone like her before. Her sparkling attitude despite how pregnant she was and her demanding presence made me appreciate her. She was certainly–

There was a knock on the door, cutting off my thoughts.

"Speak of the devil and she shall arrive," I told Jen as I watched her beam at me from the other side of the door. We had become fast friends and we tended to spend almost every day together, which I think was mostly due to the fact that she was bored with just Alexios around every day. I don't know why we were already so close after a short amount of time, but I wasn't to complain. I enjoyed her company, even though she did have frequent moods swings sometimes. I guess that's what you get for befriending a pregnant woman.

"Oh, I'm a devil now am I?" She asked cheekily, stepping into the room without an invite. It wasn't like this was the first time she walked into the room without notice, it was her brother-in-law's room after all. She believed that since Edward was younger than her, she was allowed to do what she wanted. I didn't really have a complaint otherwise and Edward wasn't around so it didn't mean much to him.

She wobbled slowly, all the way to the bed in the middle of the room before sitting down heavily and sighing. She stretched out her legs and kicked off the house slippers she was wearing to reveal her swollen feet. Jen was due just about any day now, and she was more than happy. It was a shock to not see her with Alexios, as he was always glued to her side at this time. Though it might have to deal with the fact that there was a huge meeting that Edward had planned which he never told me about.
