The silence that followed them was defining. No one bothered to move or speak. It was as if everyone was lost to as just what had happened. Though, nothing was silent in my head as I stared at the spot they had left.

Thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to comprehend what had just really happened. Most of the questions were: Where was Harry taking him? Is he going to die? Why did he take him? Was this really happening? However, the one thing that was most prominent was the one sentence: He's gone.

The sentence seemed to wake something inside me and I stepped back from the woods in quick, frantic steps. Alexios turned to watch me, his eyes wide and sad.

"Edward, I–"

"Shut up," I told him, shaking my head and backing away. "The only reason Jacan went with him is because you couldn't fucking say no. So shut the hell up, Alexios." Despite the fact that I sounded angry, I wasn't upset with Alexios. I knew it wasn't really his fault the Jacan was in this mess. "You," I said suddenly, spinning to glance at Eric. Tears were freely running down his face now and he tensed at my harsh tone, "you will tell me every single fucking thing about your buddy or I swear I will not hesitate to skin you alive. Everyone, my office. Now."

I burst open the doors to my office and walked over to the table with a determined stride. I shoved aside all the guards that were standing there and ignored their shouting as I tapped on the computer in order to find the camera album. Once I taped on the folder and brought up the video of the woods where we used to be, I scrolled back far enough to where I could see my army standing in the field. I watched the play of Eric approaching my borders. I watched as my army approached and then I watched as I did as well. I watched as I sent my army off-

Why did I do that? Why did I do that?

-and then I watched as my Jacan was taken from me, his face looking terrified. I paused just as they were about to enter the woods.

"Is there another camera near this point?" I asked someone, anyone. Someone stood up next to me and turned the image as if he needed to see it through new eyes.

"Yes sir, may I?" He asked. I nodded and watched as the guard flipped through the cameras. It wasn't long until he found the correct one and double tapped it, enlarging it onto the screen to reveal a section of the woods. He used his finger to rewind the video. "Stop," I told him and he froze. Everyone studied the screen as we saw my Jacan being dragged into the woods.

I felt tense as I watch Harry suddenly shove Jacan away causing him to fall to the floor. Jacan spun around quickly and scooted back with his legs, trying to get away from Harry. Harry seemed to smirk as he stood in place and opened his mouth to speak. However, there were no words.

"What's going on? Why can we not–?"

"There is no audio for the cameras, sir." The same guard who helped me find the videos told me. I frowned but nodded in response. We watched as Harry turned to speak into the woods. Jacan looked behind himself before standing up. It was quick as I watched Jacan spin on his heels and dart the opposite way from Harry. It was even quicker as I watched Harry throw out a dagger that seemed to appear in his hand. I flinched as Jacan's mouth opened in a silent scream before he went down, gripping the part of his thigh where the dagger pierced him. I clenched my hands tightly at the radiating pain in my chest as I watched Harry roughly picked up my Jacan. Jacan flailed around and tried to kick away but a few of Harry's guards walked up and seemed to hit a pressure point on the side of Jacan's neck and he was down. Harry ripped the dagger out of Jacan's leg before both he and his guards walked out of the clearing.
