Chapter 12 (Plans)

Wowzers. It's been forever, my lovelies! Happy 2018! I hope everyone's first couple of weeks have been going well. I apologize I haven't been updating recently but I've had a lot on my plate.

I'm graduating high school in May! That's so exciting at yet a little upsetting? I feel pretty indifferent about it right now, but I'm sure I'll have a different attitude in the future. But due to me leaving high school, I had to apply to colleges and scholarships and all of that jazz, which on top of my classes at school it has caused me to be busy a lot of the time. It also hasn't encouraged me to write, which I'm pretty upset about. However, hopefully, with the start of my second semester, it will die down! I have already said yes to a college in Indiana and I can't wait to attend and start my classes.

Edwards (POV)

Jacan and I made our way hand and hand down the stairs. We stopped by the front doors, to let the guards know what to do when Jessy gets home from school. Then from there, Jacan and I walked to the doors that lead to the meeting. The meeting room had two doors with a golden tinge to them and bronze handles that the guards used to push them open. Inside, the walls were a light gold on the top and then a light brown on the bottom. The ceiling had circle shaped lights implanted in it giving the room a bright glow. Surrounding the table were comfy black rolling chairs with mine being slightly larger out of respect.

The table was probably the greatest invention of all. It was a work in progress and so far, was working pretty well. The table was a shiny black color until you touched it and it came to life. Implanted in the table was a large tablet that allowed anyone who touched it to be able to go to their login and pull up files or be able to give you something or to look something up on the internet. There is currently prototype for another table that was being made and would produce holograms. So far, this was the only thing working. Once this prototype was given the okay, I would be using these tables everywhere across the country.

Surrounding the table was everyone. Alexios, Ben, and Jen were on the left of us and on the right were Jurak, a few people who looked like soldiers, and a person who I assumed was the major general of their army. It was almost a surprise to see Jurak, as he hadn't changed since I last saw him months ago. Everyone was standing as Jacan and I walked in, except for Jen.

"I'm not standing." Jen declared as the doors slammed shut. I grinned at Jacan, who was quietly snickering.

"I didn't believe you were." I let go of Jacan's hand and gestured for him to sit in the seat to the left of mine as I sat at the head, "please be seated." Alexios sat beside Jack with Jen and Ben standing behind him. Jurak sat to my right and the general sat beside him. The general had grey hair that was slowly receding and a grey mustache. Two more people filled in behind the general. One person stood behind each of the people who sat next to the general and one walked over to sit next to Ben. The only two open seats being at the head of the table.

"I believe to start off I should say that I am King Edward. This is my boyfriend, Jacan, who is allowed to hear every single thing being said. I believe that you guys know Alexios, my brother; Jen, his wife; and Ben, her brother; since they have been in your kingdom. Now, who is everyone else?" Jurak cleared his throat.

"This is General Orzo. Next to him is Sergeant Jack and his second in command is Virginia." Jack had blonde hair that was straight and wasn't longer than his ears. He had brown eyes and a straight nose. He had broad shoulders and his arms were pretty muscular and he showed them off with a black tank top. Virginia had brown hair cut short to her neck and tied back with a ponytail. She had green eyes and freckles on her small face. She couldn't be any taller than 5'5 but she seemed strong. Every woman here did. Which I deeply appreciated. "Next to Jack is Sergeant Ashton with his second in command Raine." Ashton had light brown semi-curly hair that was a little longer than his ears. His eyes were hazel and even though he didn't seem as strong as Jack or Ben, he was still tough looking. Though, his easy-going smile kind of ruined it. Raine had black hair shaved on her right side and a silver nose piercing. Her eyes were also hazel and she had a tattoo of a flower on her left bicep. "And that is Scarlett, Ben's second in command." Scarlett had bright red hair that was in curls a little passed her neck. Her green eyes were a bright contrast to her hair and she had a lip piercing. "All of them here are in command of our three armies." I nodded and opened my mouth to speak when Jacan cut in.
