Many years ago there was a world wide war.  No one knows how it started, but when the first 'hybrid bomb' was dropped.. Every country knew the only way to survive was to fight.

The war resulted in more militaries being created, more destruction. The world was plunged into a wasteland.

Until Korea released their ultimate weapon. The 'Eylktra'
The Execytra was a gas bomb that consisted of expirimental chemicals meant to alter the body.

When Execrtya was released every single creature was wiped from the earth.

But in the wake of total extinction, life followed.

A new species came to Earth, they were similar to humans but had abilities..

The first 5 super-humans formed a group.

The Elites.

"I'm going to finally get you Felix, after months of always loosing." Jack
quietly says, a look of pure determination on his face.

"You really think you can beat me?"
Felix smirked in reply, his hand covered in blue glow.

"You talk too much." And then Jack charged towards Felix moving in a blur.

Felix quickly surrounded himself in a circle of electricity but it was too late. Jack had gotten through the circle and delivered the finishing blow to Felix.
He dropped dead on the floor.

"Yes! finally I fuckin' won!"
Jack laughed setting his controller down.

"You just got lucky." Felix scoffed.

"It's called skill my friend." Jack winked then took a sip of his coke.

Just then the door behind them opened,  a man with brown hair and big broad shoulders walked in. He apparently saw the tension between the Irish man and Swedish man.

"Erm... Mark, Cry, we probably should come back later!" He called over his shoulder.

"No! Tyler come on in. Ol' Felix here is just upset because of my pure talent." The Irish man poked Felix teasingly.

"Whatever, Minecraft is better." The latter replied.

"Yeah? well that's your opinion." Jack pouted and flopped off the couch.

"I guess it's safe now guys." Tyler said walking in throwing the takeout bag on the table.  Jack gasped, "Hey, careful with my Chinese food!"  The taller man just rolled his eyes and smirked. "Sorry, I forgot you literally wanted me to order only  fortune cookies."

"Geez, calm down children." And in walked the man that Jack had admired for years.  Who was small, but also muscular, handsome, and sex-

"Shut up and move Mark!"

Jack was painfully removed from his (not so innocent) thoughts by the last man to walk in Cryaotic, he had light brown hair and a white mask with a straight face on it. No one other than Felix has seen his true face.

"Sup Cry my bro!" Felix waved.  Cry waved back and plopped down on the couch beside Felix. "So, you guys going to the H.Q.V?" Cry asked. There was a uncomfortable silence around the 5. Mark took advantage of the moment to grab Jack's bag of cookies.

"I don't know. " Tyler shrugged finally breaking the quiet. "The chances that we get in are slim."

Tyler was right, but the fear of being selected for an unknown group that the 5 knew nothing about? That was unsettling.

"I want to go." Jack said fiddling with his hands. "Are you joking?" Felix stated more than asked. Jack could feel everyone watching him, he spoke more confidently, "I want to go, I've only heard rumors about what the E Team is like and.. we could help a lot of people."

"Jack," Felix started to frown.

Sensing an incoming argument Tyler spoke over him. "How about we do this, we fight for who stays and who goes?" That apparently got the attention of Felix who loved anything competition related.

"Oh you're so on!"  grinned Mark.

Jack however, wasn't in a fighting mood. The tense atmosphere from earlier still lingered around him.  Jack sighed and silently snuck off towards the bathroom.  See, helping people wasn't the only reason why Jack wished to make the E Team, he felt weak.  His power level was above 8 meaning technically he is "superior" but in no way did Jack agree with that. Superspeed was not strength, electricity, telekinesis, or plasma.

Jack cursed himself for ruining his good mood from earlier.

A knock at the door sounded. "Jack?" a familiar baritone voice said.

"I'm just washing my face, be out in a minute Mark!" That was a complete lie, both Mark and Jack knew it.  "Alright, well turns out we're going." Mark replied.

After Jack actually washed his face, he opened the door to be greeted by a mildly pissed looking Felix. "It's nothing." Felix mumbled before Jack had a chance to say anything. That was.. weird, then again Felix must've lost the fight.

"I hear footsteps Mark, you better run!" Tyler shouted. Confused, Jack walked out and caught Mark eating his fortune cookies. 'Oh heck no,'

"Uh...thanks for sharing?" Mark sheepishly said.

Finally they all got in. As Cry drove, posters covered the streets. Many different faces covered them. They all had the same boring phrase. ' Place your bets on me! ' Mark cringed."With all these posters it might be possible to die from a paper cut." That made everyone snicker. "Bro, that seems like the worst way to die." Felix chuckled and leaned his head against the window. "Do you guys think we might actually get in?" He mumbled, face pressed against the glass.

"I don't know." Jack paused, "But isn't that all the more reason for us to try?" Jack smiled. The rest of the drive was filled with motivation.
