Chapter 17.5

Ethan loved his family more than anything. They were his only comfort in the world he lived in.

You see, Usually in the superhero world, kids find out their powers at around age 4. But Ethan was 10 already and nothing had happened.

Ethan's parents took him to various doctors to figure out the reason why. But they all were puzzled. Some even said that Ethan may not have a power.

And of course kids at Ethan's school found it funny. They often would bully Ethan about it. One kid went as far to try to push him into oncoming traffic..

And one day, something happened.

It was a rainy day and Ethan's parents were waiting to pick him up from school. Ethan was not at all happy, he had gotten into a fight with some kid with fire powers. Needless to say, he looked pretty rough.

Ethan got into the car without saying a word. When his mother asked what happened Ethan ignored her.

"Ethan.. You know you can talk to me right?"

"..."

"Ethan I'm so sorry."

Why wouldn't she leave him alone?

"Ethan."

Please I don't want to talk.

"Ethan!"

"YOUR SEATBEALT!"

And they crashed.

Ethan blacked out.

And he woke up to a raging fire that started. He somehow was away from the car. But his mom,dad, and sister weren't.

Ethan's world started to appear and disappear. He couldn't breathe.
He felt like he was choking.

"I'm terribly sorry, But your family members didn't make it." The doctor said.

As soon as he had heard the news he gained his power. His power was healing.

He got gotten fucking healing powers when he was just told his entire family died. You can't bring back the dead.

And Ethan suddenly wished he had spoken to his mother. His mother died and what were the last words he said to her? Nothing. He said nothing.

Ethan was now an orphan.
He had been in and out of homes.
No one wanted a broken child.

Until Ethan met a man, he had the kindest smile he had ever seen...

"Who are you?"

"Well my boy, You can just call me The Professor."
