Mark couldn't stop shaking.  Whether it was from the explosion or his fear, he really didn't know. They had Jack. And Mark nearly broke into pieces.

Not even 2 days ago they had their first kiss, and of course fate was bound to split them apart. Mark was scared for Jack, and scared for Nate who they haven't even found yet. God, what if they were de-

"Mark!"

The world around Mark slowly started to clear. Like getting a camera to focus.

"Sorry."  It was a poor choice of words to reply with considering the chaos happening around them.

"I think I know where Jack and Nate are." Cry said.
Instantly, the atmosphere got hopeful.
"Wouldn't it make sense if all of the labs were connected?" Cry said, this time more confidently.

Mark honestly didn't know. It was as if he were fighting his thoughts. There was a chance that they were completely wrong. But then again, they would never know unless they tried. So Mark pushed his doubtful side away and agreed with Cry.
"You're saying we should go back to the lab in the Forbidden Forest." He said.

"Yes."

Mark looked at the others to see their reactions. He noticed everyone looked uncomfortable. Who could blame them though? The labs were truly terrifying.

"Then it's decided. We're going back to the lab." Marzia said with a small hint of authority in her voice.

Cry was first to start running towards the forest, Everyone else in tow.

As Mark sprinted everything came back to him in a blur. They day of their first training session, The day they found Global, The excitement of being a real superhero...

Mark really didn't want to lose all of those memories to evil and darkness.

Jack felt his body relax immediately.
He thought the true meaning of happiness was cookies.
But nope, this was happiness.

"Jack?" Nate had said as if it were a question.

And oh boy was Jack glad to see his friend alive, In a huge lab? No. But alive Yes.

"Jack!" Now Nate's eyes widened. He realized two things.
1. Jack was with him.
2. They had to get out.

"Jack we've got to go." Nate quickly carried Mary and pulled Jack into one of the elevators.

Now together Jack had time to ask a few questions. Jack opened his mouth but nothing came out.

He had just now noticed the girl.
It was her wasn't it? Jack stared at her with an unknown emotion.

Nate must've noticed Jack staring at Mary. "She's another test subject, I had to save her."

Jack nodded and bit his lip. "She's over 64 years old." Jack had blurted out.

Well shit.
That wasn't what Jack wanted to say yet.

"What?!" Nate stared at Jack like he was a lunatic.

Jack looked away, remembering the tape he had watched. It was horrible.

"I watched a tape of her Nate. She's Professor Arcane's daughter. The tape I found was back in 1954. That was only when she was initiated into the academy. She could be 200 years old for all I know.."

Nate was quiet.
"That gives us all the more reason to get rid of him."

Jack would reply, but the elevator started to shake.
