I was lying on my soft, comfy bed while watching some Netflix. I was tired from school and homework that the day had presented me. The worst part was, it was only Monday and only two weeks into school. I was dreading senior year for countless reasons. The only good part was that I would be able to leave high school after four years, but then again, then there's college. I pushed those thoughts into the back of my head and slowly, but surely drifted off into a deep slumber.

Beep... Beep... Beep... Beep

My alarm rudely awoke me from my precious, and well needed beauty sleep. I turned off my alarm clock and drug myself out of bed. It took me a while, however I finally started to wake up. I slowly approached my bathroom. I undressed myself and took my shower. While I was in the shower, I was pondering about what I should wear for school. I went to a private school, Brentwood. Although private schools usually had a uniform, we did not. They just strongly suggest we wear the school colors, red and blue, yet no one does. I stepped out of the shower and dried myself off. I walked back into my bedroom and thought about what I should wear for the day. I peeked out of my window and saw a slight breeze. I opened my window to insert some fresh air into my stuffy room. The day was warm, yet it exhibited a slight breeze. I settled on a short sleeved, loose hanging white t-shirt. It had the Adidas logo printed on it with black ink. I had also slid on my light-washed blue jeans, and my black vans. I had headed off into my bathroom. I looked at myself for minute, or two in the mirror. I was unsure of what I should do with my hair. I decided to blowdry it quickly and then straighten it. I left my hair down and left it how it was. Makeup, however, was alot simpler. I threw on some mascara, lip gloss, and quickly filled in my eyebrows, and left it at that. I brushed my teeth and texted Kendall.

~Message to Kendall~

Me: Hey! Good morning. Are you almost here to pick me up?

Kendall: Look outside.

I rushed down the stairs and l glanced out of the dining room window, which overlooked the driveway. I gladly saw Kendall waiting for me in her matte black lamborghini. You guessed it, Kendall's family is rich, but so is mine, and everyone else who attends Brentwood. You have to be to pay for tuition. The school is suggested for academics, athletics, and the arts. Kendall is there for dance. She does basically every style you could think of. I've gone to every one of her recitals and have watched her do jazz, tap, acro, contemporary, ballet, hip hop, ballroom, and many more I can not think of. I'm there for acting, I've had smaller parts when I was little but I'm really trying to jump start my carrer from here. As much as I hate the school, they do have an amazing acting program. I quickly grab my bag that was sitting next to the door and walk out of the house with a smile on my face. Kendall engulfed me into a big hug when she saw me.

"AWEEE!!! Look at my bestfriend go. Do a spin!" Kendall yelled, probably attracting attention from the neighbors, yet we didnt care. I spun around happily, letting out a slight giggle.

"Woah! Who is that hottie!" Kendall whispered excitedly, motioning with her head to look over to my left. I turned my head to have my eyes met with a boy's eyes. He was quite tall with dirty blonde hair. He dressed in a navy blue shirt, black jeans, and some black sneakers. He smiled politely and let out a small wave. I did the same back and then looked back to Kendall.

"I'm not sure, but something is dangerously familiar about him." I told Kendall as we went to sit in the car.

"Wait a second! Are you saying you might know him?" Kendall asked, almost screaming.

"No, I'm saying that he looks familiar. So maybe I have seen him around before. I've never been good with guys, you know this." I told Kendall as we drove off to school.

"You were with your old childhood best friend who moved away." Kendall responded.

"Yes, true, but he moved a long time ago. I can't remember anything about him." I told Kendall.

"Not even his name? Or what he looks like?" Kendall asked, her eyes glued to the road.

"Absolutely nothing." I told her. I didn't want to talk about my long lost best friend so I ended the conversation by turning on the radio. Our favorite song Attention came on and we started singing along and before we knew it we were pulling up into the schools parking lot. We grabbed our bags and walked in side-by-side. We parted ways to go to our lockers. I put my heavy textbooks away and the went to homeroom where I met Kendall. I was so lucky to have her in all of my classes. I don't know what I do without her. We were in the middle of joking around when my homeroom teacher Ms. Collins told me to go to the principals office. I got nervous even though I didn't do anything wrong. Our principle was Mr. Adams. Mr. Adams and I were actually pretty good friends. However, I still get nervous due to my past, but its whatever. I walked into his office where he was wearing a big smile. A boy was sitting in one of the two chairs that were placed in front of Mr. Adam's desk. Mr. Adams and the boy were talking and the conversation seemed pleasant, which calmed me down a little. Mr. Adams almost immediately noticed my presence and turned his attention towards me.

"Good morning Lily!" Mr. Adams said cheerfully. The boy now turned his attention towards me.

Oh no. I thought to myself. It was the boy that moved in next door.

Once the boy saw me he gave me a small smile and wave, as he did earlier.

"Good morning Mr. Adams. Why did you call me down?" I asked politely.

"Well, this is our new student Cole. I have called you here because I wanted you to show him around." Mr. Adams said. I was confused on why he would pick me, but I went along with it. I lead him to the senior locker area.

"What's your locker number?" I asked, trying to avoid eye contact.

"S-78." He spoke.

Great. I sarcastically thought to myself, realizing we was right next to my locker.

"Here's you locker, just try out the combination to see if it works." I told him.

I watched as he put in the combination. I couldn't help but notice his handsome features. He was indeed a "hottie" as Kendall had described him. However, something about him was strickingly familiar. I shook off the thought and decided not to thinl about it.

"It worked!" Cole said, a smile was painted on his face.

"Good." I said, trying to sound cheerful.

"What's wrong?" Cole asked, his full attention on me.

"Nothing, I'm just not a people person." I told him, looking down to avoid eye contact.

Cole then turned to face me and put his hand gently under my chin. He lifted my face up to meet his. This was the first time I looked into his eyes. They were a beautiful blueish-green color. They had both depth and meaning in them, making it easy for me to get lost in them. Suddenly, I was snapped out of my thoughts by Cole's deep, yet soft voice.

"See, now we're making progress. I know you're not a people person, but I want you to at least get close with me." He told me, staring into my eyes.

It took the whole school day but I successfully showed him everything he needed to know. By the end of the day, I was warming up to him. Yet, I still kept my gaurd up. Kendall and I decided to give Cole a ride home instead of having him walk home. Once Kendall pulled up to my house, I gave her a hug and then she left. Cole and I exchanged a long hug and then went our separate ways. The rest of the night was boring. I ate dinner, did my homework, watched Netflix, and fell fast asleep, awaiting the next day.
