-Lily's Point Of View-
After Cole had dropped me off at my house I had expected myself to cry, however I didn't. For the first time in my life, I had run out of tears. I sat against my door, stared at the hard, wooden floor, and just thought about everything. I thought about my past and how even then I didn't run out of tears. You see, when I was about two years old my parents broke up. Then, when I was three my mom got pregnant and then had a miscarriage. my dad blamed the miscarriage on my mom, so he left us and moved to California. We were previously living in Florida. Since I was little and did not understand what was happening, I begged my mom to move to where my father had lived and she finally gave in after a month or two of me begging her to let me go with my dad. From there, I met my long-lost childhood best friend. He was the only thing that made me happy as a child, or at least, that's what my mom used to say. Then he moved, and I remember being heart broken when he moved, I just don't remember who he was. Afterwards, my mom did have another baby, my brother, Brandon. Later, when my brother was about five and I was eight my father had abused me, he choked me with a bag I had carried around with me. That's when my brother and I were separated, my brother was put through foster care, I on the other hand, was just aloud to stay with my mom. I haven't seen my brother since the day he was taken. Lastly, my great grand-mom and my great aunt had passed away. My great grand mom had passed from old age, then my great aunt had passed from Alzheimer's disease. So my mom was all I had left of family that I was close to. I don't know any other living relatives to this day, I just hope my brother, Brandon, is okay wherever he is. I must have sat against my door think for at least an hour or two before I heard my phone go off. I looked at it see I had a text from Cole.
-Text Convo With Cole-
Cole- Hey, are you feeling any better?
Me- Yeah, I'm great. Almost all better.
Cole- Stop lying. I'm outside your door and I see you just sitting there, So, let me in please.
-End of Convo-
I stood up, my knees were weak from sitting too long making it hard for me to stand. I turned and opened the door to see Cole standing there putting his phone in his pocket. He then engulfed me into a tight hug.
"Hey." Cole said in a calm, soft voice.
"Hi." I responded back quietly.
"Wanna talk about anything yet?" Cole asked, looking me in the eyes. I shook my head in response, I was unsure if I was ready to talk about what happened, let alone talk about anything at all.
"Then how about we order pizza, eat some ice cream, and watch movies on Netflix?" Cole asked, I saw the kindness in his eyes. I nodded my head in response.
Cole ordered chesse pizza while I grabbed the the ice cream. We decided to watch a funny movie to try and get my mind off of everything for an hour or two. We decided to watch Grown Ups starring Adam Sandler. Which happens to be my favorite actor/ comedian. He always seems to take my mind off things. Cole wrapped his arm around my while I cuddled up into his chest. I actually did genuially laugh throughout the entire movie. Cole was so proud of himself that he cheered me up that we decided to watch Grown Ups 2. Adam Sandler always knew how to cheer me up. His jokes, facial expressions, and everything about him made me laugh. It was a good feeling to know that even in the darkest times I could watch his movies and feel better. About three quarters into the movie I started to get tired. I fell fast asleep on Cole.
-Cole's Point Of View-
It was so nice to see Lily smile and laugh again. I was dying to tell her that I was her long-lost best friend, but now was definitely not the right time. Towards the end of the second movie we watched Lily had fallen asleep on me. I smiled as I watched her sleep. Everything was perfect to me about her and I hated seeing her upset today. So watching her sleep peacefully was alot better. I'm just hoping she can get better soon. I didn't want wake Lily, I figured she needed as much rest as she could get with the day she's had. I pulled out my phone and texted my mom I was staying the night since Lily fell asleep on me and she understood. I gently brushed Lily's hair with my hand, kissed her forehead and pulled her closer to me. Things felt perfect in this moment. I grabbed the tv remote, shut the tv off, and with that I fell asleep with Lily. Everything was perfect.
