Christina's POV

I whipped out my phone and dialed the Oh so familiar number.

"Chrissy? Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, I don't know. Katherine, Lisa, Amy, Dani, Nick, and Joey ran away. Oh, and Lauren's in a coma in the hospital. Lisa, Amy, and Dani left because of me. Katherine got confused and thought Lauren was going to live and that ticked off Dad, so we disowned her. Then the others followed. Now it's just Mom, Dad, Mike, Me, Alex, and Christian. What do I do?!?"

"Just stay calm. I'll come and visit. Don't worry, we'll find them and make everything right again. Give me a few days. I'll be there soon. I love you."

"I love you too. What would I ever do without you?" and I hung up.

I heard a noise coming from downstairs. Someone must have forgotten something and came back to get it, so I ignored it. Oops, bad choice. The sound went from a light tapping to rattling that lasted for what seemed like eternity. I better go see what it is. By the time I got downstairs the rattling had stopped. I shrugged my shoulders and went to the kitchen for an apple. Then, slam, a door closed. I jog out to the front foyer to see if anyone had come in or out. Nope. Next, I check the driveway to see if our family car is there. Not there. Oh well, I must have been imagining things. I brush whatever just happened out of my mind and go watch TV. My thoughts told me that I needed a day to myself, and that's just what I did.

Katherine's POV

I heard Christina's whole conversation. Judging from the tone of worry in her voice she must be really scared. But then why would she put on this tough act? Ugh. My phone vibrated again and I looked down.

From Lisa:

Dani, Amy, and the boys are running towards to car safely. I gave Amy the key. They're going to drive half a block closer. I'll rattle the blinds downstairs to distract Chris. Once she leaves, get out. It'll be better if she catches just me.

To Lisa:

How did she type that fast? Whatever, she's Lisa. Suddenly I heard quiet tapping, then loud banging almost. Thank gosh for Lisa's quick thinking. I watched Christina's feet disappear from the small crack between the bed and the floor, and crawled out. By the time I saw her feet hit the last step, the rattling stopped. Chrissy then walked to the kitchen for something and I spotted Lisa behind the couch under the window. She saw me and we ran out the front door. We accidentally slammed the door, but luckily, Amy pulled up. She wasn't supposed to! We could have gotten caught. Oh well. We got in the car and Amy sped off, but I still looked back and saw Christina open the front door and peer outside. Whewwww. That was close!

"Everyone get what they needed?" Lisa asked. We all nodded and relaxed until we reached Ski's house.

The rest of the day we just hung out. The younger ones did some work. At around 5 o'clock I start to make dinner. Pasta, simple, easy, and delicious. Everyone enjoyed it and we sat in the living room to watch a movie. Joey chose Hotel Transylvania so that's what we watched. At 9 pm I guided Nick and Joey to the guest room. Dani and the boys have one guest room, and Lisa, Amy, and I have another. Today had a stressful morning, but the rest of the day was nice. Tomorrow we go to get custody. I hope it goes well.

We haven't updated in a while and we're really sorry. However, this chapter is short but I hope I made up for it because it's kinda a thriller. The prologue and first chapter are already up, and the second chapter will probably be out today.
