Chapter 6: The Secret Pocket

Lisa's Point of View*

"C'mon guys, we're crashing at Ski's place for a bit." I tell them, as they stood outside the kitchen, eyes puffy from crying.

Kath nods, smiling, knowing Ski's always there for her.

"That's great! C'mon, we can go rent a car." Kath says.

"With what money, Kath?" I ask her.

"I've been saving up for something like this. It's in the secret pocket in my bag." She says, gesturing to the bag on the ground next to the kitchen wall.

I was one of the only people who knew about the 'secret pocket'. It was Kath and I's secret and has been for a while.

I opened her bag, and moved her notebook out of the way. I unzipped the small pocket, and grabbed whatever was in there. When I looked closer there was five hundred freaking dollars in it. "Kath! Where did you get this much money?" I ask, surprised.

"I told you! I've been saving up for this." She replies.

"So... you knew about Lauren...?" I ask, shocked.

"Well... not necessarily. Come on, let's go get a car, and I'll explain on the way." She says.

Nick and Joey had been sitting on the curb taking amongst themselves.

"Come on, boys, we're going to go rent a car, and go over to Ski's place." I say, walking over.

I helped Joey up then Nick, and we began to walk the three miles to the closest rental car dealer.

"Hi, yes, we'd like a car that'd fit five people, for uh... three days." Kath tells the guy behind the counter.

"Okay, yes, we can do that. Follow me." He says, and Kath follows him to the back.

"Lisa...?" Joey asks.

I look down, and Joey looked terrified, "Yeah?" I reply.

"Are we ever going to go back home?" Nick asks for Joey.

I sigh, "I-I don't know. Hopefully." I reply.

Kath comes back a few minutes later jingling a pair of keys. "Only cost me two hundred dollars. Let's go guys." She tells us.

I stand up, grabbing Joey and Nick's hands, and followed behind Kath. In the car, I sat in the passenger seat, and asked Kath, "Mind explaining, yet?" I ask her.

A/N from xxcimluverxx: Sorry It took so long! We both were really busy! @I_Live_4_Cimorelli wrote this chapter and she is finishing up chapter 7. BTW it's short, but she wanted to leave a cliffhanger. Next chapter up in a few days, then I'll write the ch. 8.
