Chapter 26

Mark's point of view

I saw Alison pass by me running through the hallways. Not long I saw Vergil running too. I just continued washing the dishes and thought to myself, "what are those two up to now?" I smiled when Amy passed by. Amy is my girlfriend since the passed five months up until now.

"I wonder when those two will be in a relationship." I dried the dishes and put them back in the cupboard. I walked up to Amy and hugged her from behind. She stiffened but relaxed knowing that it was me. "Hey." She faced me and kissed me. "What's up?"

"Nothing. Just want a hug right now." She hugged me tight that she never wants to let go. "Flirting at such an early time?" Wade interrupted. "No." We then laughed. "How's vacation with your new wife?" They hugged. "Were had a great time in Europe. We brought some gifts for you guys and lady Alison. She said I'd give her some for allowing us to continue our honeymoon." He took out the gifts and distributed it.

"I'll give lady Alison hers later. What happened here while I was gone?" I thought about almost everything. "Well Alison told me that she prefers to be called by her first name. Not lady or madam or mistress." He shrugged. "Oh and she found herself some friends and a future boyfriend." We grinned. "Future boyfriend?" We nodded excitedly. "At first the guy always glares at her and Alison keeps avoiding and ignoring him. Then after going through some activity together, it lessened and the guy cares for her and she talks to him more often." Amy said.

"What happened next?" Wade asked curiously because from what he knows, Alison isn't really in to these kind of stuff. "Well she and him got really close since Allby's release from the hospital. He was caught in a car accident. By the way the guy's name is Vergil. He's always wearing something blue and he has white hair." I said. Wade laughed, "then he must look really old." Then we shook our heads, "not at all really. Despite his white hair. He looks like that he hasn't aged a day further than twenty." He thought deeply until we heard a faint scream.

"What was that?" Amy asked worriedly. "Probably Alison being caught by Vergil." I said. "Why?" Wade asked. "Because he's been chasing her for kicking him into the pool." I giggled imagining them running around the mansion. "So maybe I'll go to the young master or go back home to get some of my stuff so I can get back to work-" I cut him off, "but Alison wouldn't want you to work just yet since you literally just arrived from your honeymoon. Surely she wants you to settle down for a while."

We talked about what they did and the places they visited in Europe. After a couple of hours he went home to his wife and Amy continued to do her part of the job and I went to look for Alison. I searched her hiding spots but she wasn't there. I tried to go to each room except hers but still nowhere to be found. But once I came across her room.... I immediately ran and opened the door. I saw Alison laid on the ground in her own pool of blood.

I checked if she was still alive by checking her pulse. Her pulse was faint so I checked if she was breathing, fortunately she was. I carried her and sprinted to my car. I looked for Amy and said to her, "go clean up the blood outside her room and don't tell anyone. I'm taking her to the hospital." She nodded and I ran. I opened the door and sat her down. "Stay with me. Stay with me." I jumped over my car and quickly ignited the engine.

Once I got it started, I drove off like I was in a car chase. I looked at her and she was in a very bad condition. She didn't have any injury but she was extremely weakened like her strength and life was forcibly drained out of her. I parked and carried her inside. The doctors and nurses started to run towards us and I set her on the girdle. We started to push it towards the emergency room and they were talking.

"Get everything ready!" The doctor ordered. We placed her in the emergency bay #3 and the nurses were walking and connecting it to a needle. "We need her blood pressure and her heart rate, now!" The doctor shouted. "Sir I'm gonna need you to stay outside for us to work freely." I obeyed and before they pulled the curtains, the last thing I saw of Alison was a pained bloody face.

I texted Vergil to come here immediately. I decided not to tell Wade just yet, he just came home, I wouldn't want him to get worried right now. After a few minutes Vergil arrived. "What happened?!" He asked. "I don't know. I just found her in her room lying down in her own pool of blood. What happened? Did you do this?" I asked. He suddenly grabbed my neck and pushed me against the wall raising me a foot off the ground.

"What makes you think I did this to her?! You don't even know what happened." I grabbed onto his arm struggling for air and his grip was so tight that I could be beheaded anytime. "There's clearly something weird and different about this guy." I gagged and he released me. I gasped for air and coughed. He looked inside the room, "where is she?" I continued coughing, "s-she's in the emergency bay #3." He sighed and sat down.

"What do you think happened?" I asked. I sat next to him and he was in deep thought. I asked him again, "what do you think happened?" He answered, "demons, that's what happened."
