Chapter 30

Vergil's point of view

I ran towards where I can feel Alison's presence. Mika was with me but after a short while, she was attacked. "You bastard!" She yelled but she stopped when she saw that it was her cousin. "Zach?!" She kicked him off. As I look ahead of me I bended backwards to prevent myself from being cut. I look at my attacker and gasped. "Alison?" She attacked once more but I kept evading.

Not long Dante came to help Mika. "I can't hurt her. I don't want to hurt her. Alison, SNAP OUT OF IT" Then Dante slashed through her, I thought I was going to have to kill him but Alison turned around and sent him flying. "It passed through?" I growled silently. "The ritual may be incomplete but the mind control is effective!" Zach laughed. "This the best you got?" I asked. "You turning Alison against us? Is that it?!"

He grinned, "but it seems to give me the upper hand. The only way to dispel the mind control is by waking her up! And I'm telling you, there's no way you can touch her!" He laughed like a psycho and Alison turned to me. "Wake up Alison. Wake up. Please. I need you to wake up!" Since she could pass through, Dante and I attacked together but she keeps on kicking us. "No use! No matter how powerful you are. Your attacks won't work if they fail to hit your target."

"Come on Vergil. Think!" I thought to myself. "Now sons of Sparda. What do you plan to do? Killing me won't bring her back. It'll just make it worse since no one is holding her back anymore." Mika 'tsked' and shouted, "SHUT UP!" And killed him then cried. "Why Zach? Why?" She kept asking and we kept her there.

"You've done enough Mika. Let us figure out how to wake her up." I frowned, "no you stay beside her just in case she attacks Mika. I'll figure out a way to wake her up." He scoffed, "that's suicide! I know you love her and you can't even bring yourself to hurt her! How are you going to wake her up?!" I had an idea but it was cliché but it was worth a try. "Then I'll let her impale me." I unsheathed my sword and Alison just stood there. "Just do it Dante." He sighed and nodded.

"But if you fail, we'll be getting out of here." I nodded. I focused my attention to Alison and she was just listening to our arguments. "Sorry to keep you waiting." She didn't speak, instead she attacked. I blocked and attacked. We kept exchanging blows. She threw a hammer fist on me. I got out of the way and the floor left a huge crater. "No way!" Mika exclaimed.

We clashed swords and then finally the opening that I had finally showed up. But before I could even initiate, she disappeared and kicked me from behind. I let her beat me up so she would lower her guard down. I laid there on the ground while he walked towards me slowly. I looked at her and she stomped on my stomach and made me cough blood. Her right eye started to regain it's original color but the other was stronger.

This was the first time I ever let someone play their cards as they wish while I didn't fight. She raised her sword and was ready to kill me. I knew this might be the end.

Alison's point of view

I felt myself being laid in the center of a pentagram. How do I know? Well in my mind scape I can see a pentagram right below me. It was glowing red and I started seeing people surrounding me. Each of them taking a pointed corner of the pentagram. I moved my body but wasn't able to. I was blinded by some unbreakable chains.

They started chanting and I could feel something burning in my head. It felt like a big stone was slowly being laid on my head, getting heavier by the minute. I whimpered and tossed and turned my head. Then I felt more presence from outside further the pentagon. A guy walked towards me and he kneeled in front of me and revealed his face.

My eyes widened as I couldn't believe that he would be the "master mind". "Z-z-Zach?" He raised a brow, "correct. Don't ask me why, I'll answer it now. I'm doing this so that stupid idiot can't get in the way of our love...... just tell him you love me and I won't kill him." I frowned.

"No. I love Vergil. I loved him ever since he had been helping me with some of my problems.... while you were nowhere to be found." He frowned and grabbed my face. "Then it would be hard for him to hurt you. Then after I kill him.... I'll make you my personal slave." He kissed me and I felt power flowing in me.

I kissed back like my body had a mind of it's own. "Kill him." I stood up and I saw a black katana appearing in my hand. I ran towards Vergil once he was in sight. I cut through him but he evaded. "Please just dodge! I don't want to hurt you." He kept evading until Dante came.

He shouted, "Alison, SNAP OUT OF IT!" Dante slashed through me but oh so magically, it just passed through me and I turned around and sent Dante flying. "Please tell me they know a way how to reverse a ritual." My mind kept praying that I'd be able to take control of my body soon.

Mika shouted, "SHUT UP!" Then killed Zach. I felt the pain in my head increase like it's just given more power. I saw Mika crying and it made me sad. I don't want to see them having a hard time I focused and concentrated on regaining control over my mind. My body moved and attacked Vergil. They clashed and I knew Vergil had something planned, I was able to pin him down by stomping on his stomach.

He coughed and I raised my sword up high ready to stab him anytime I want. He looked straight into my eyes as I did the same. I forced it down but stopped before it even hit. I wasn't in control, I looked over to my side and saw Mika holding a staff that has been producing green light. "Thank you Mika." Mika had been enchanting a spell to immobilize demons and then purify them. But at this point she's not going to do that chant....... or is she?

Vergil removed the tip of blade that was about to hit him and stood up. I looked at him with no emotions held in my eyes while his held a thousand more. He just sighed and then said, "Alison, please wake up. Come back to me. Come back to us. We need you, Allby needs you." My heart felt heavy like I was waiting for him to say that he needs me.

"Fight the mind control, you are stronger than this. If you don't come back Allby will be sad. Mika as well and your friends. So please come back to us. All I can say to you while you're still immobilized is that I........" he trailed off and sighed. "I-I-I need you.... I need you very much...... because... because I...... I love you.... I love you Alison." He said and my heart was filled with joy for he feels the same way.

He then kissed me.. yes... he kissed me in front of Dante and Mika. Mika and Dante's eyes widened for what Vergil did. I felt the one binding me disappear and I felt myself in control of my own body once again and kissed back. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he snaked his arms around my waist pulling each other closer. I started crying and when we pulled away I smiled at him.

He chuckled, "it worked!" We hugged once again but this time Mika jumped in and joined in the hug with Dante.
